192 engine reman

Anyone have any experience with theses guys in winnsboro tx? They look to have the most affordable remans on the planet. Hoping someone will chime in on reputability, 0 for 3 on the last three posts in terms of responses.

I have heard good reports about them in general but never dealt with them as they are too far away.
I did call them once, looking for info on the difference between a 3000 and 4000 transmission. The guy I spoke to was knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions.
That's about all I can say.
I assume you are referring to a 3 cylinder 192? Is it a gas or diesel?

Thanks for the reply. It is a diesel in a 3430 NH with a spun main and crankshaft issues. The oil pump failed on the engine. I think at this point, the reman is cheaper than the rebuild. I spoke with the guy too, he did seem knowledgeable and courteous. He stated that shipping would be less than 300 total to illinois and the core back to TX. I will likely replace the seals in the front of the tranny and the pto seal, this thing has set for a year now. That is a nice looking rig in your avatar Ultradog.

3430 is a nice tractor.
What caused the pump to fail? Those Mellings were pretty much bullet proof.
I found a 192D about a year ago. A guy near Dallas TX had bought a new crate motor and put it into a 3000.
Only had a couple hundred hours on it. Then he got sick - almost died - and the tractor languished for most of 15 years. Outside no less. He was going to scrap the tractor but just for kicks thought he would pull start it. It fired up almost instantly. So he put the tractor on craigslist.
I bought it for $1300. But a long ride to go get it from MN.
I put it into a 4400 that I'm building here.

The dealership I work for installed a couple of their "rebuilt" transmissions in 6 cylinder Ford tractors about 15 years ago. Absolute train wrecks. Your mileage may vary. They have been there a long time, and must have satisfied customers. Not sure I'd sign up to buy anything "rebuilt" from them.
