Can't say as I completely understand Full Synchromesh w/Mechanical Shuttle on the 1914..... plan on using a loader a lot. Can someone explain the trany on the 1914.... think I'm a Hydro type of guy since my lawn mowers have been that way. The 1914 seems about the same size as the Kubota b7500 and I have sat on it and it seems about the right size for me.... I need the manueverability because of all the trees and clean up.... also have some very steep areas to contend with that I need to know I can climb.... can anyone help?

The Hydro is the only way to go for FEL usage. Pickup and move a load without having to shift a thing; just pivot your foot. My B7500 excels on hills and is very manuverable since I don't concern myself with shifting. I also like the way it comes to a complete stop when I let off the accelerator. I also have very steep hills. Loaded the tires and set them wide for added stability.
Hydro costs more up front but will have a better resale value. As a matter of fact, I would expect to recover all the added cost of a hydro on resale. I would think all future compacts will be hydro.
