1872 No spark

My 1872 wouldn't start yesterday, no spark. I removed the ground lead from the ignition module, still no spark. Is there anything else I should look at before I pull the engine and replace the ignition module?

Sounds like your mag is shot. It's not a uncommon thing. I've never changed one, so I can't help you with that. Sorry.

Thanks AJ,

I've done two mag replacements, one on a 1860 and one on a 1872, probably an eight hour job. The mag is about $100. A dealer will do this for about $250 including parts, probably a four hour job for him.

I'm going to verify the pricing and figure out which way to go.
