I have a 1996 model 1715 Ford and the clutch seems to be slipping . I would like to find out how to adjust it.

there should be and L shaped rod pin in your clutch pedal you remove it and tighten it up on the other end an reconnect when done u should have 1.5 inches in free travel

I found the L shaped rod . The flat piece of metal it is connected too has two holes in it . The rod was connected too the back hole I put it in the front hole and now it seems to hook up fine. Is this alright?

If you had free play at the top of the pedal and the clutch slipped, then it will need a new clutch disk.

The clutch engaged at the top. When going up a step grade tractor would lose momentum with motor at steady rpm.Sence moving the rod too the second hole the clutch seems to be alright. Just wanting someone to tell me I did the right thing.
