Changing the fluid in the front diff, and not sure what kind to put back in. The old fluid is thicker than regular hydraulic fld, and my shop manual doesnt say.

Thanks

Not positive for HN's, but most tractors use 90w gear oil in the front axles...

Nothing in the manual? That sounds strange /forums/images/graemlins/confused.gif

Oh, and BTW> It takes a long time for gear oil to settle, so fill slowly, and recheck level after about one hour so. My front axle took about 1 hour to get the required 3.5 quarts in it /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif

The only shop manual I have is the IT shop manual. It has nothing about recommended fluid types, etc. Tells you how to R&R the front end though. /forums/images/graemlins/wink.gif

I'll verify with the shop this am.

Thanks
