Who here has one? What are you loading in it with good results? Recently purchased a Remington 700CDL in the caliber and I'm shooting up some factory ammo with fair groups - mainly just to get the brass.

so its just a smaller dia round than the .22-250? (a 22-250 shell necked down to .17)

Left to right. .17 HM2 (Mach 2), .17 HMR, .17 fireball/mach IV, .17 REM

If your prairie dog hunting 200yds+ why not stick with the 22-250 and for the stuff between 50 and 100yrds why not just stick with .17 HMR?

Just something a little different as I've had at least a half dozen 22/250s' and it is quite different from a 6ppc used presently for target shooting/varmint dispatching.

I dont got much experience on hands with the fireball, but i know some guys on the other forums say that hornady hand book has some of the better loads to work with. I got 204 rugers personally and i think thats as small as i would go for me cause of the amount of wind in my area. Just do a search online to find more out. Lots of info out there.
