Does my 16la loader have a float feature as I have read some others do? If so how do activate the float?

Thanks,
Chris

Yes, it does. Push your joystick all the way forward as far as it will go. It will not only go into float, but the joystick should stay there in an indent. The curl circuit does not have float, but the raise/lower function does.

U were lucky. I just bought a used TC40DA and my stick does NOT stay in the forward position. As I already have a TC33D and it does stick in the float position, I guess I have to buy some new parts for the 40? I seem to remember replacing one of the valves in a JD I used to won. Is this an easy fix? Thanks, MB

When you push the joystick all the way forward, can you feel any indent at all? Does it have a slight "over-center" feel as you approach full forward? IF so, it might be that the rubber boot has enough spring to it that it is pushing the joystick out of indent. You do have a 16LA loader and the rabbit/turtle joystick don't you? The new loader and it's joystick valve might operate differently.

I would pop the rubber boot out and see if the joystick stays in the forward indent when it is removed. It's just a guess, but the only thing I can come up with that could cause this problem.
