1610D Koyker 110 baffled!

Okay, fellers. Haven't been here in quite a while cause I haven't needed too but she's got me stumped NOW!

1. FEL slower and slower to lift over last year. FEL will drop overnight if left up. Curl is fine.

2.will not lift at idle and very slow at high RPM

3.swapped hydraulic lines at control valve and problem swapped sides.

4.was going to park in barn to remove lift cylinders for o'haul and made baffling discovery:
When I picked up the bush hog on the 3 point, then picked up the FEL, FEL picked up at normal speed. It would not go down with the 3 point UP.
After lowering 3 point, FEL went down normally but went back to slow lift.

5. So I know it's a leaking valve somewhere, but no idea where to begin.

WHAT YALL THINK?

Finally got around to t-shooting this thing. Swapped the lines at the control valves. Problem did not swap sides. Curl works on both controls, so the lift cylinders are at the hydraulic shop for a rebuild. Unfortunately, just talked to the shop and they are having a time getting them apart. He's been soaking them in solvent for a couple of days and will try again this weekend. He advised to go ahead and try to source some more cylinders, so if you know of anybody who has any for a Koyker 110 off the top of your head, I'd appreciate it. Looks like new ones are about 6-$700 a piece.

You are directly contradicting yourself making it VERY difficult to advise you.....since at this point I have no clue what the tractor is doing or not doing and it seems you dont either

If your loader is leaking down overnight you have a valve problem. Rebuilding the cylinders "may" slow it down....but they are not the root cause of that problem. They MAY be the cause of slow lift though. And rebuilding them cylinders will have no effect on the 3PH, or rather how the 3PH is effecting the FEL.

He needs to soak it in DEEP CREEP in an ultrasonic parts cleaner overnight. Sounds like it's really locked up. This is the same way I fix fuel injectors.

This guy is highly experienced. Shop has been in business for 40 years, so I’ll defer to his expertise. He did a great job rebuilding my curl cylinders. Talked to Koyker rep today. He said this is normal on these old ones because of the aluminum gland nut to steel tube differential metal corrosion.

Well, whoever you are, you were no help at all. Rebuilt the lift cylinders and all is well. So much for your totally wrong valve diagnosis!

It's clear you have zero understanding in how the hydraulics of a loader work.....any why my diagnosis is not wrong. But I hope it made you feel better in your feeble attempt to come back here to say I told you so.

I could take the time to explain to you how the hydraulics work, how rebuilding the cylinders have appeared to fix the issue, and how your valve still has internal leakage. But it's clear you are clueless about hydraulics and have no desire to even understand them, and would rather sling insults at those that do.

Welcome back. Continuing to show how ignorant you are to anyone reading that actually understands hydraulics

The good thing is, your hydraulic problems are solved. :) Glad Winston was here to help you out.
Our machines are Yanmars, typically not the norm for how other brands are done. Glad the o-rings were the easy fix vs. a complete hydraulic overhaul running into a high price of repairs.
All of the problems he had are very easy to explain and understand now that all the information has been given. Some people just choose not to want to understand.
