What's everyone think of the new 1600 series? Are they replacing all the 1500's?

I think you'll see the 1500 series disappear when stock runs out, that's why the 1600 series isn't 0% financing for 72 mths, good way to get rid of old stock and introduce a new line.

Hey Shaun,

I think they will eventually replace the 1500 series. As inventories run down, I imagine they lower HP 1500 will be replaced by 1600.

That makes sense. I was just wondering because there are no 1600's that overlap the 1523, 1528 yet. But like you say, they may come out with new models as they fase those out. Or make a bigger model in the GC to fill the gap?

You never know. One thing I like that they have improved is the side by side pedal set up on hydro trans GC/1500 series. Not sure if the new 1523 got it or not.

That's the word I got today from a local dealer. I road tested a 1635 with HST and a 1533 with SynchroSshuttle shift. I'm not a "clutch" type of driver but the 1533 was very easy. And the H-DT forward and reverse gear was a great feature too. What I liked about the 1635HST was the fact that there are two pedals for forward and reverse. Since the 1500 series is on the way out I might seriously consider the 1600 series but the 1500 series has a $1200 rebate which is hard to pass up too. So many decisions..so little time. One thing I learned so far in my adventure to own a tractor, you gotta get your butt in the seat and drive it. Seat height, position to the steering wheel, position of the sticks and levers all play a role.

I have just begun my search and I have driven two side by side models of the same series and one I loved and the other I hated. Only a size 10 1/2 but that's the problem!!
