1600 conversation piece

Went with trailer to look at this but came home without it. Way worse than pictures. Tree growing up through it, steering wheel broke off, no fuel tank cap, no cover on exhaust, etc, etc. Tiller just as bad. No doubt probably worth more than $300. Maybe Aaron will see it and come pick it up. 15 horse Yanmar tractor - farm & garden - by owner - sale

And that's Yanmar's frame-mount tiller, not 3-point, therefor a significant welding project to adapt it for anything else. In summary the tiller is valueless if the tractor it came with isn't in running condition.

Aaron might want this for parts that are unique to a 1600. I doubt anyone else would buy it.

Seems to me whenever you see the hood just tossed back on like that and not attached it means the owner gave up mid-repair. In this case, long ago. A bad sign.

You did the right thing walking away!



Question: 1600 is older, was it an earlier version of 1700 and 2000? Anybody know?

Yep, somebody must have bought it. I am not surprised, just not a fit for me. I would have bought it had I thought I could get it in running condition without a lot of expense.

Good question, Hoye shows same cylinder liner for the 1600 and 1700.
