1530 PTO Question

Looking at a JD 1530 with a Hoyker bucket. I am new to tractors so forgive me if my questions are very basic. My question regards the PTO function - the tractor appears to have a non-live PTO, but I have been told that this tractor only came with either live or an independent PTO. Can anyone confirm this? or did these tractors actually come with a non-live PTO? I am not really wanting a non-live PTO as I will primarily be using this tractor for bush-hogging, and I have heard the horror stories and safety issues plaguing non-live PTO tractors. Any help on this would be appreciated.

I didn't locate a trans driven pto in 1530 parts catalog. Does your tractor have a lever by left heel when sitting in seat that resembles the parts photo. If so I'm guessing the dual stage clutch for pto is stuck.

There is a lever by the left heel to engage/disengage the PTO, but when you engage the clutch (both halfway and all the way down), the PTO disengages. How would you go about "unsticking?"

with a dual stage clutch halfway down should disengage the transmission, and all the way down should disengage the pto. when the pto lever is engaged and the clutch is all the way out (not pressed at all) the pto should be engaged, is that what is happening? If the pto is not functioning properly the first thing I would do would be to make sure the clutch is adjusted properly.

The PTO disengages when I press the clutch in both halfway and all the way, in essence acting like a non-live PTO. I just wanted to ensure that this tractor model was never manufactured with a non-live PTO so I can make sure the clutch is fixed before purchasing.
