So those rubber plugs are covering up drilled and tapped holes that I could use to make a drawbar? I was afraid to pull one out just in case I started a flood of diff/hyd fluid.
Yes, I think you'll find tapped holes under those plgs to attach a drawbar mount to.

Then I am definitely going to investigate that. If I can put on a drawbar, I will have one made that I can also hook the sway chains to. If they aren't usuable, well, at least I know how to get sway chains on now. It did occur to me today that those plugs can't be holding in fluid... kinda dumb to think they might... obviously if they were I would already have it coming out of them because of the rubber being cracked and dried out. Hmm, anyone know what size bolts would go in there? And where I can find metric bolts?

Sorry, I don't recall what size my bolts were. I did find them at my local hardware store though. I used the 10.8 grade on my tractor. Don't forget the lock washers.

I use lock washers on anything that needs to be strong or will see heavy use. I do have a hole gauge though it's SAE. But, if I can come close I can convert to metric and will probably be able to figure out the right size bolts. Then I can draw up a blueprint and have my students make it. Thanks everyone for your help!

There are four more threaded bosses with plugs under the transmission....ideally for the FEL base mount. The 19mm head size, the same that goes through the frame and into the engine block, are the identical size to those holes (on all that I have checked). You should be able to remove one from the block and test fit for the draw bar holes.

19mm head size should be a 12mm bolt. 17mm is usually 10mm bolt. I get them at Ace Hardware stores or sometimes Home Depot. NAPA probably has them as well........
Roxy, be sure that the inner pivot for your swaychains on your drawbar is in the same plane of motion as the inner pin for your lower links. You don't want those chains to tighten / loosen as the 3ph goes up and down............

Jagman, so true! It is so hard to convince people how important this is. I've seen busted parts because people don't realize the geometry of this.

I'm going to put mine on the same way you did yours (sway chains) so hopefully that will work well. As for the drawbar, I will make a seperate one that is just a drawbar and that should take care of it. I've needed both of these things for several months, so everyone was very helpful to me!

There you go, now you can use your tractor to do even more stuff!

I probably should have also posted "don't ask me how I know this" :)

Roxy, I had to make the pivots for the sway chains to hook to, just some 3/8" flat plate with the right sized holes punched in it, then it just slips over the same pins as the lower arms, keeps everything lined up nicely.........and it's nice to get props for figuring this out, but I copied someone else...........

Oh, and I updated the drawbar arrangement since these photos, here's how it looks now. I welded in a tube between those ears (they kept bending) and threaded it to match the threads on the lower pins, then threaded and locktighted them in.
