1500 series vs 3xxx series, differnces?

I was looking at Mahindra's website and was wondering what the differences were between a say a 1533 and a 3616 or 3535 other than a couple of HP? Is it frame size?

can't speak for the 3535 but the 1533/1538 are slightly larger than the 3016/3616. I think this is a mistake on their part as there is such a big difference in the max series to the 15xx series. The xx16 series was positioned well.

I agree with this. Bumping up the size with the new 1500 series was a big mistake in my mind. The 16 series was almost in a class by itself and it was a very good class IMO. :thumbsup:

Small enough to squeeze into smaller places, yet big enough to get a fair amount of work done.

It would be interesting to see the sales numbers for this part of their lineup next year compared to what the 16 series was.

I agree the 16 series was a great size machine as I look long and hard for 16 series over the 15 series as they are larger by a bit. I have 22 hours on mine in 2 weeks mostly BH work in some pretty tight areas which the rear wheels barely makes it in the 15 series I believe it is 7 inches wider 6 or 7 inches longer a bit higher to.

1533/38 is made in Japan. 3540/50 is much heavier and built in India.

Thanks. I have been busy using Mahindra and Kubota's build your tractor tool on their respective websites. I'm really surprised how close the prices are.

Considering price, power, reliability, size, overall quality, ease of use; I don't know what I'd do if I didn't have a 2615 and had to buy a tractor to replace it. To me it has no comparison.
