I have a 140 that had an engine overhaul at the beginning of the summer. If I mow on level ground it uses no oil. I have a slight incline that I mow and I noticed it uses a good bit of oil. I can't find any leaks and I don't notice any smoke. I don't know what to check next. Wondering if anyone has had a similar problem. Engine starts and runs good and has good power. http://www.tractorbynet.com/forums/images/icons/icon4.gif

And the oil level is not above the dipstick mark when it uses oil on a hill?

No the engine oil level is not above the full mark. That is what has me puzzled. I am continuing to keep a close eye on the oil level. I just use the 140 for mostly trim work and with a leaf vacuum when I need to.
