Hi, I just purchased a Yanmar 169D with ROPS and a Mitchel brush hog. I am 14 and have loved tractors all my life and I am so glad I have my first tractor. My mom and Step Dad sure are lucky that i like tractors enough to buy one of my own since they have needed one for 4 years. I used the brush hog to mow down scotchbroom and brush and it works great. I measured the tractors width and it is 40" wide and 13' long with my mower. Atleast my 5' grader blade will cover my tracks. I cant wait to share my experiences. I did notice that the RPM meter doesnt work along with the hour meter which is stuck on 990.4 hours. I had to put the bolts on the three point up( the ones that determine height for mowing/tilling vs. boxblading/grading) to the higher setting and they sure were on there tight! all i had was a hammer, two wrenches, and WD40. I thank all the advice given to me durring my purchase.

Nice tractor. Congrats on your purchase.
It looks like a good tractor to learn tractor maintenance and, possibly, diesel engine repair when the time comes.

Congratulations! I have seen many of your posts on here and you remind me of myself at your age, I am now 35 and still feel like a kid when I get around tractors, Be careful and have fun, I have a feeling that you will go far in life young man.

Jacob, when most kids your age are dreaming of a motorbike, it would seem you have a tractor and implements which could make many here jealous. Congratulations!:)

BTW: You also do far better at stringing together complete sentences than many your age. Without be overbearing, I'd like to offer a little advice. I've been in training and multimedia production for as long as multimedia has existed. We know that colored text can do lots of subtle things and may or may not provide the desired outcome. Bright reds and yellows are colors that evoke warnings and cautions. If you use them too much, your audience may turn you off or even become hostile without knowing why. I'm simply going to suggest that you can get the desired effect by highlighting one or two words and leave the rest of your text normal. If you have to choose a different color for all your text, something like a dark blue, very dark green, or dark brown can be used. Lots of bright colors produce eye fatigue in addition to the danger of making your audience hostile. I know you are excited and want everyone to see what you say. So do I. You seem to be a bright kid with a great future and we all want the best for you.:)

Good luck with your tractor. Would have loved to have had one at your age. Be careful and have fun. Jim

My 6-year-old has a tootsie roll bank that he's saving his money in so that he can buy a tractor someday. Frequently enough the siren song of toys and candy diminishes his savings, but he continues to put money in for a tractor. Maybe by the time he's your age he'll have enough to afford one. In the mean time he's getting a pretty respectable toy dinosaur collection.
