14 T JD Baler

I have pulled a 14 T (serial number 27527) out of a relatives barn to try to use in a couple weeks. will tie a knot but not automatically. Have to manually trip. This model has a "Small Bale Attachment". Have ordered and received a spring to hold down trip lever, but can not find where it hooks. I am located near Richmond, VA. Anybody own one within 500 miles?

The spring I got for the small bale attachment is part # 124S E, it is on pg 49 of the parts book for this baler
