1140 1240 4wd transfering parts old rear housing to new

I have to transfer all the parts (axle pto top cover brakes)from
a old rear transmission (4wd shaft hole got oval shaped from shaft wearing on it)
to a new housing. Can I just transfer parts or will there be tolerances
and adjustments I need to watch for

In theory , yes, you could just swap stuff over if you were using all the same internals. But you should recheck the ring & pinion backlash. You should check all the bearings for wear also. And be sure you have new seals.
