Do you have the program at your disposal? Seems you would need that.

I have had my 4520 reprogrammed by the dealer at my place, took about an hour all totalled with checks and test runs on jack stands.

Good luck with it, I am curious what you will find out.

no i do not have a program getting online manual today tractor is setting in the woods on soft ground so jack stands would be hard to do i was told this could be done right there but not sure what needs to be done to do automatic calibration and go back to stock but i will let you know how it turns out what a stupid thing to do i need to be on this tractor not under it.

skeeter1,

The procedure requires either a computer with the Service Advisor software, or a digital multi-meter with the JDG 1575 electronic control test kit.

Dealer service person can do it in the field.

Sorry for the bad news.

i have tried to do the automatic calibration on the transmission and got thru to the stage were i am calibrating the throttle position was getting two codes that were .--. and ..-- and jd guy said that the .--. was a engine sensor out of calibration and needed to be manual calibrated and can be done with digital volt meter and turning engine speed sensor and getting the mila volts in the right range what i do not know is what range ? and how to jump what wires the tech said he only uses volt meter do this any help out there.

Don't know about trans, but my 110 seat did the same thing( blew fuses) but only when I was sitting backwards running the hoe. Took a while to figure it out but the safety switch that detects weight on the seat to allow the tractor to move was shorting out. I bypassed the switch, no more blown fuses.

Hmm... the seat pressure switch is a PITA - (in more ways than one)! :D But, it's not that complicated to look at and figure out; either the wires are broken or shorting out on metal, etc.

The engine speed calibration or transmission speed calibration is definitely a harder nut to crack!

Gotta have the Technical Repair Manual (either hardcover or CD) to even begin to wade into that water...

I bought the CD on eBay. One of the better investments - for my time - and money!
