While greasing the tractor on Sunday, I notice that the upper backhoe bucket piston pin ends are clipping the the upper hose fittings at the top of the backhoe boom. This would occur when the dipper stick is straight out. There is a bracket that anchors four hose connections for the bucket piston and the thumb piston. Two bolts retain this bracket to the boom. I notice there is a slight angle to the bracket from those bolts outward, almost looks factory, but I'm not sure. I suppose the two ends could have bent up if ever in contact outboard in service. If the bracket was flat and did not have those angles, I'd guess there would be no interference. I'm trying to confirm the bracket profile. I may try to image and post.

Here are images...can anyone confirm bracket ends as factory bent up outboard of mounting bolts or should the bottom of the bracket be flat?

The brackets look like they could be bent down flat by raising boom up under a fixed object (like tree limb ??) if you think they'd work better that way.

Or remove the bracket and flatten it in a press.

Or grind a bit off the bracket if that is where the "clipping" is happening.

Mine are the same on my 110, must be factory.

I have the same brackets too, can't really see if yours have the quick couplers like mine.110b.jpg110a.jpg

GreatWhiteHunter Little General...Any evidence that your upper dipper stick piston pin is hitting the bucket piston hose crimps with dipper stick all the way out?

Here's the circumstance I had. Despite the understanding that the the bracket is OEM bent upward at outer ends, I came to believe that the possibility did exist that the ends had been contacted during service prior to my ownership resulting in the contact. The most sensible solution was to tweak them both outward.
