1045 standard deck blades

Just bought a bagger for my 46 inch deck and it came with two sets of blades. One set was with the six star design and the other with regular holes. Mine takes the six star type,but which one is the newer style?Just wondering.

I believe the STAR design is the MTD standard these days. That's what they told me at Sears.

Thanks Larry, I guess now I'll have to find someone who can use the xtra hi-lift blades that came with the bagger.
