I only found this site after I had purchased my 1042. Let me tell ya, you guys put a case of buyer remorse on me that almost choked me!!! I have 1 acre with one section having a pretty steep grade. I am very happy to report 4 cuts, along with hauling a lawn cart and once about 400 lbs in the cart with absolutely no problems what so ever. So far, I have been very pleased with it.

Just wanted to post something good about the 10 series since about all I have seen has been negative.

Not all of the 1000's are encountering the hydro slipping/overheating/pulling problems. If yours does, the problem seems to show up fast, like within the first 5-10 hours of use, so yours is probably OK, just something to initially watch for.
