I have a 5234D sub-compact and am currently having a problem with the tranmission. My dealer received authorization from Cub to replace the entire transmission assembly. Took less than one day to get Cub to authorize. Cub/MTD didn't hesitate to take care of the problem.

I just bought the LT 1046 from Tractor Supply Company. Paid about 1600 for it. I went with the 1046 because it had the 23 hp. V Twin Kohler. Didn't need the extra power, over the 19hp, but it was noticeable quieter with much less vibration.

Seems very, very solid, and drives like a car.

I also have a LT1018 Cadet purchased last year. Its been a strong running unit with no problems at all. I disabled the seat switch and was wondering if you disabled the reverse backup switch and if so, how did you do it. This is the only problem I have with the tractor. Let me know please.

Dave to do this. On the right side look thru the deck height adjuster. When you move the hydro foot controll, you will see the linkage and a switch with white and green wire. If one was to remove the the rear wire (white) I have been told this would disable the switch. /forums/images/graemlins/grin.gif
