How does the ride of the 1026R/1025R as compared to the 2320/2025R?
I currently have a JD 4120 loader tractor & a 1026R for a mower. All of our dirt & driveway work is just about completed so I am looking to downsize.
Looking to replace both with a 2025R. I am concerned about what the ride will on the 2025R with r4 tires. The 1026R rides rough with R4s. Will the extra weight & larger wheel size of the 2025R smooth out the ride any?

I tested both model series out with a FEL. I found them to be comfortable but "bouncy" on the gravel drive at the dealership. I think I would contribute that to not having the rears loaded yet.

I think my lemony 1025r had the edge on ride comfort over the 2025r I have now, but I'd do with a 2025r any day over the very rough running 1025r. FEL operation on the 2025r is the best of the 4010 or the 1025r. The 1025r was very iffy on FEL control. Had to watch you didn't accidently dump a load because it would curl down with the least bump of the joy stick in the wrong direction.

I went from a 2305 to a 2720 with turf tires. I think the difference in ride quality is almost worth the price difference. I did a lot of bouncing up&down while mowing in the smaller one, and the bigger one has me bouncing much less but rocking left&right because of it's higher center of gravity. I can also mow comfortably at a slightly faster speed in the 2720.

Have you given some thought to replacing the R4 tires on the 1026R with the hdap tires? That might save you the expense of trading in and buying another tractor. The hdap tires at 10 psi ride very well at 8 mph on my lawn. I would also make sure the lawn areas are super smooth and fixed up before letting the 4120 go.

If I were buying a 2xxx tractor for the long term consider the 2032R with the higher hp engine. Does not add much weight or physical size.
