I have a 1025R that I ran for two hrs. with the fuel petcock turned off please tell me how that can happen without the tractor shutting off

Are you talking about the valve by the glass fuel filter!

What position is the petcock handle, horizontal or vertical?

A picture would help ...

it was running in the horizontal position which is off

Fuel efficiency at its best. ;) :D

This is in the on position the tractor run for 2 hours in the horizontal position

I checked out (2) how-to videos, and the OP had the correct positions for off and on. I think the only answer is that the valve is not totally closing off the fuel, allowing the engine to continue to run.

I agree, it’s just pulling fuel through the valve. I have a similar tractor and the op is correct on the off and on position.
