TYM T264 with loader and implements
I am in the process of buying a new JD1025R with loader, mower and backhoe. Does anyone have the specs on the backhoe? I believe it is a 260 backhoe. I sign the papers next week, and I forgot to ask the dealer. They will not be in until next week. Every other tractor manufacture post the specs on their website.

Hi I know this thread is a little old but I'm the proud owner of a new 260 hoe I just installed on my 2305. I find that John Deere's specs and real world are often different (example my 200cx will pick up way more than the 600 odd pounds it's rated to). I do recall seeing roughly 2000 lb break out force and 350ish boom lift. 6'2" digging depth. I do have a burning question for those op or any 1023/25 guys. In the specs John Deere says "180 deg swing arc on most models" I know there are 2 variations (different s.n.) for the 2305 and the 1025. What I want to know is if the newer tractors actually swing 180 side to side? Mine is only 150 and there are times I wish it was more. Other than that I'm blown away by what I can do with it. I wanted one for 5 years since buying my 2305 and was not disappointed!

Also if anyone is interested... I quickly became paranoid about grit getting on the stabilizer cylinders. I saw JD offers a protection kit but it seemed pricey for what it was (130$) so I picked up some vinyl like fabric and made my own! 9$ and an hour of my time to hand sew them. I would think the cylinder protectors are to protect them from large rocks striking the cylinders. The ones on my 110 are formed steel plate. Grit I would not worry about.

Steel plate was a thought but for the 260 the JD protection kit is just a heavy fabric wrap. I believe that the dirt/rocks whatever they come in contact with will scratch the chrome plating and take out the seals over time. There is a product called seal saver that is just for that purpose to keep the crap off the cylinders so it doesn't start causing issues. I think my fabric would at least stop a rock from scratching it and it would take doing something really dumb to damage them.

Not that this is a huge issue I'm sure there are a lot of 260s with a lot of hours and no issues I was just being overly cautious with my new toy but didn't want to shell out 130$ for something that simple.

My backhoe will absolutely not do 180 degrees. Maybe 150-160 degrees. That is not that big of a deal to me.
