1020 cranking problems

I have a 1020 that felt like it was loosing power right before being turned off. I thought the fuel filter may have been clogged so I replaced it before starting it anymore. I went to bleed the lines and now when you turn the key you get one 1/2 good turn and then it's like something is stopping it or its in a bind, it just can't finish the turn(I have put two new batteries in it and checked the amps, all is good). I have never had anything like this happen. It was running great and now it won't even turn one complete turn.

When it started losing power, did it smoke excessively or make any noises? Is engine oil full? Is oil discolored or have a burnt odor? Is coolant full? Since it was losing power and now won't crank over, it makes me think possibly seized bearing on crankshaft. Another possibility is blown head gasket and now coolant has leaked into a cylinder and won't allow engine to turn over fully. It is also possible something in transmission(maybe seized bearing) is causing drag on the starter. Possible the fuel filter caused power loss and bad starter or cable is now preventing engine from turning over properly. Also possible a bad fuel injector is leaking fuel on top of piston causing hydro lock.

No everything seemed normal...almost like it was just getting ready to run out of fuel. I checked the oil...it was dark but normal for hours and usage. That's what is so strange about it. It had gotten where it had to be jumped off every time. I thought the battery was bad but now I wonder if it was ok and something was just seizing and causing it to be harder to turn.

To eliminate hyd possible hyd pump problem I would recommend to purchase and install a hyd pump destroking screw(AR38225 which subs to the listed PN's[parts key #4]) if one is not already installed. If hyd pump load isn't the problem then I suggest to attempt to turn engine utilizing a bar. Might also pull injectors to check for hydro locking. If it still won't turn over then I'd suggest to pull engine oil pan for a visual inspection of brgs and liners.
