1010 rockshaft timing help needed

Hey everybody. I'm working on a single row crop and need some help to ballpark the controll lever shafts on the rockshaft. The manual does not cover this topic at all. One shaft is inside the other shaft on this style. The two shafts are connected to levers inside the front cover. Under the fill cap is the right lever. It can be seen thru the cap. If someone with this style can help, I would greatly appreciate it.

TX Jim-
The manual is a JD 1000 series tractor book. Copyright is 1961. We probably recieved it when Deere released the model back in the day. Maybe a newer manual has the info. Our Historical discs only contain the operators manual, no service info for this model.

Maybe something in the 430 service manual from JD. Rockshaft was unchanged from late 330,430,435&440 up to serial #42,000 model 1010's.

Hey, I have a I & T service manual for the 1010 just not sure how to answer you. Are you adjusting the linkage? And does yours have single or duel cylinders?

Sorry but the cheapo I&T manual contains just enough info to get one's self into trouble. Obtain the real manual from Deere. The Deere manual has 3-4 times as many pages of instructions for a reason. 1-800-522-7448
