# 1 Spring Project

What is your first spring project when the snow clears and the ground thaws ? mine is to finish building a new pole barn for my tractor and equipment, give my garage back to my cars and trucks

Get the siding put on my garage. I put the Tyvek on it last summer/fall. Really got to the siding on it as soon as possible......and a floor......and a door for the tractor entrance......and fix a bunch of ruts left from when the propane truck brought the new propane tank and we buried his truck, my truck, my tractor, and the wrecker........ /forums/images/graemlins/crazy.gif

Job will start in spring. May take until mid summer to finish.
Tear out stairs leading to Michigan basement entrance. I have to remove all the railroad ties and blocks. Pour new foundation Then build a cement block entrance, stairs and install Cellar door entrance. I have decided that this year is last winter season I will be clearing snow off the uncovered stairs.

The first spring project is always touching up the gravel drive. Even with wheels on my blade I see a little gravel has spilled off to the side when plowing. It probably curled up with the wet snow. I'll get things all graded nice again so they can pack down by summer.

The township plows gave me a little work to do in front, too. It seems they wanted a wider shoulder in front of my house /forums/images/graemlins/mad.gif. That will give me a reason to use my landscape rake again and pull the chunks of my former yard into the road so they can be scooped up easier with the FEL.

Redo crumbling asphalt driveway with pavers
Clear approx. 1 acre
Install approx. 1500' of fence
Finish shed/garage against side of the house
Convert carport to garage
Remove several trees too close to the house
Install a bunch of downspout drainage pipe

Finish my upnorth house, build a real barn up there, move my wife, cats, dogs up there. Probably sell my downstate house. Get ready to retire. And I'm sure I missed a few things.
