07 TD95D oil change question

I just did my second oil change on the new tractor and was wondering about the capacities listed in the owners manual.

My tractor is the 4 cylinder turbo diesel with an oil filter and a oil cooler under the filter. The book says 3 gallons with a filter change.

The first time I changed the oil I had just come in from plowing so it was definitely warmed up. I change the oil and filter and put in 3 gallons but it was showing about 2 quarts high on the dipstick.

This time I just filled up to the high mark on the dipstick which was 2.5 gallons.

I have now switched over to full synthetic oil, rotella 5W40 synthetic, and was just wondering if I'm missing draining something like maybe the injector pump. Do they still have seperate drains on them on these tractors or no? I asked the mechanic at the dealership adn he doesn't know what I'm talking about. He says he never heard of draining a pump before. I used to work on case, massey and Kubota tractors at a dealer and they almost all had a drain on the pump but I'm not ready to start pulling plugs on a pump I've never worked on before to find out.

Does anyone here know?

I ran into same thing on my TD75D dealer got hold of new holland rep and they figured out something was lost from metric to us quart conversion.
New holland engineering sent me a revised capacity sheet for my tractor manual.even though it gave new capacity it still stated at bottom of sheet to fill to full mark only. hope this helps

Yes, my TN manual capacities table is a hairball! Some caps marked english would be OK as metric and some the other way round. Still others make no sense in either metric or english. Whoever put that tbl together was having a bad day. As I need to replace fluids I remark the tbl w/ what I actually use. For a buying guideline I ask the dealers shop foreman how much and he usually right w/i a couple qts.
