Having problems with bales being banana shaped and the left string pulling toward the edge of the bale. Messed around with it and can get good bales for a little, then go back to the twine not staying where it should. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Start with packer fork link in center holes on both ends. Use the decals on the machine to verify that plunger to packer fork to rotor timing is absolutely perfect; not just 'close enough'. Rake windrows of consistent size. Alter ground speed to PTO speed ratio to make bales with a similar number of plunger strokes/ flakes. That means gear up and throttle back in light windrows. Wildly variable strokes per bale will lead to bale shape problems on one end of the spectrum or the other. All else fails, read the operator's manual.

Thanks for the advice Rick. We currently are doing re-baling, not actually baling out in a field. We figured this could also be an issue since the hay is not as "fluffy" as it would be out in the field. We'll have to look into what you said and hope we can figure something out.

You can say that again. Became much easier after we purchased a round bale in-roller.
