I've talked to 2 different Deere dealers and I'm getting conflicting information on their financing. One says 0% for three years 1.9 for four and 2.9 for five....the other says 0% for five as well as seeing some of ya'll getting 0% for five. I'm going to have this clarified tomorrow, but thought I'd get your input. Is it a dealer specific thing? Thanks...

It depends on the model tractor. Here in Louisiana there is 0% for 36 mo on the 300 series and 0% for 48 on the 400 series. Both required 10% down according to my dealer. Good luck.

It also depends on where you dealer is located. There are sometimes extra funds available for customers within a dealers "sales area". 0% for 36 is the published program, anything over that cost the dealer.

In my case, the sales rep. said it (0% for 60 mo. w/10% down) was a specific 4th Qtr. incentive - good only for Oct. 1 - 29 and for specific model lines. Lucky for me, the 3038E was one of the covered items...

About a month and a half ago I got 0% for 60 months with 10% down on a 5045. Not all tractors are covered, but I think all tractors of this size and smaller were.

So when you get the 0% financing are you able to negotiate the price down? Or, are they telling you the price is lower for cash and asking MSRP?

You can still negotiate the price, but you are giving up a $500 (if I remember the exact amount correctly) rebate. Even at todays low interest rates, the interest cost would exceed $500. Even if you have the cash in the bank, leave it in the bank and use THEIR money. Using their free money will put you ahead.

Time is running out on the 0%, Oct 29 is almost here. If it is 60 months, I'm almost tempted to get an open station 3720 with the bigger R4s, electric diverter kit, loader mounting frame only, power beyond, autoconnect 72" MMM, 360 flail mower, WC1105 wood chipper to replace my 755. I would take my 300cx off my 3520 and move it to the 3720. The hydraulics is for a future stump grinder. My thinking is to have my attachments to be able to used by both tractors. This would be a problem with a 2x20 tractor being too small frame and not enough pto hp.

I put my 403 rotary cutter on the 755 to mow my ditch, and wow it was unweildly doing that. The 755 cuts fine on flat surfaces, but maneuvering in the ditch showed the weaknesses of the setup. Now I understand the wheel weights thing. I guess the 3520 spoiled me in terms of power and handling of rear implements.

Wishful thinking on my part. Reason against: end of seasson, no immediate need that can't be put off until next season.

Typically when a car or tractor manufacturer puts out a deal such as 0%, they advertise it with a deadline to get people excited and make them buy NOW. In most cases, after the deadline comes and goes, they do it or something similar soon afterwards.

When I was tractor shopping a few months ago, it promoted 0% on the New Holland website and said to hurry because it ended on July something. When I stopped by the New Holland dealer they talked up the 0% and this was in September. I think the webmaster just messed up and hadn't updated the promotional information. They probably reinstated it the day after that ad said that it expired. Anything to get traffic in the dealership.
