This is my first post here, so hopefully it will help. I recently bent the hydraulic fluid dipstick tube on our 1994 - 3930 - 2wd.
In my discussions with the repair person we use for our equipment, he mentioned either.........
a) Fabricating a new tube.
b) running a small diameter die...
I am searching for a replacement wiring harness for a 1994 New Holland 3930. NH no longer sells them apparently. Does anyone have a source for one? If so please provide contact info. Thanks in advance, Jon.
I need to change the fuel filter on my 3930 but have never done it for fear that I may get air in the system and not be able to get it started back up. I have a few questions.
What procedure should I follow to hopefully Change the filter without any problems?
1. Turn off the fuel supply

I’m new to the forum and new to owning a tractor. I’ll apologize ahead of time for any lack of knowledge.
Started the tractor the other day and now it takes a tremendous amount of force to turn the steering wheel. Parked and noticed front-end leaking. This is a 1996 or 1997 NH/Ford 3930 with...
Ran fine when parked about 5-6 months ago after Dad tilled his Garden. Visited property with him about 5 weeks ago (right before he passed), tried to start to no avail. Came back a week ago with more time to spend on cutting roads, I inherited a little problem looks like as I still couldn't...
I just got the tractor in the title, and it's got a 7209 loader on it. I just replaced the 4 hoses coming off the control box as they were all leaking. I took care to change them one at a time and have added 5 gallons of utf so far, with no response from the loader and nothing on the dipstick...

A few years back I had a Ford NH 3930 that I wanted to install a front loader, It was a Bush-Hog brand loader The loader I had come off a Ford 3910 or similar model, and the brackets would not fit the 3930. After calling all around, I finally got in touch with a man at German-Bliss who was able...
Hello again. My question is can i convert my current style leveling box which is almost froze up and change it to a style with crank handle. The only ones i can find say they fit a 3910 and not a 3930. I have had my leveling box apart and cleaned and re greased and thought it was free. But at...
Ok Guys Gals and anyone who has information that can help. I just purchased a new to me 1997 3930 with 7310 front end loader. The loader is plumed to the rear hydro outlets. I have a problem with this and a future upgrade so here is my questions. 1 the loader works up and down just fine. the...
My tractor is about a 96. It has the hydo selector valve under the seat. It switches from rear lift to the front end loader. It jumps out of position for the loader. I use bungee cord to hold it. Isnt there a plate or adapter that bolts on to allow both front and rear to work without switching...
My 1990's New Holland 3930 won't start. For background, this is a weird 3930 where a prior owner replaced the deisel engine with a gas engine. Anyway, it has a new battery and power is getting everywhere it is supposed to be. The distributor rotor is not turning when I crank on the ignition. I...
Well yesterday's effort with the 3930 was clipping several hundred feet of right of way and the 50' wide loop road around the house sight (something like 700' in diameter. All told about 3 hours of clipping with no problems. I shut it down to install an ammo can tool box and then went to restart...
My 3930 has a Quickie 310 loader hanging on the front. The source for the FEL hydraulics is a long hose from one of my rear remotes. I have the second 12 GPM hydraulic pump on the left rear of the engine. My ideal state is to have the two rear remotes available for equipment without having to...
Hello,
How is everyone doing? It has been long since I posted here, you know, the hurricane happened and then in laws etc. We sent the New Holland 3930 to the local New Holland/Kubota dealer because we could not find a good independent dealer.
The dealer of course wanted to put a new...
I was talking to this guy who works on and restores tractors and I mentioned to him that I have a new holland 3930. He asked me what year it was and I told him it was a 1999 model with about 800 hours on it.
He immediately said that I better watch out and if I hear any strange knocks in the...

Not sure this photos will show up. They are photos of my old clutch and a new one I ordered. The new one part number is on the box. The old clutch had the inner tension springs or whatever you call them. They are same spline and diameter. The new one just didn't have the springs. Went ahead and...
In process of changing clutch-pressure plate. Found new pressure plate and clutch on EBay.
Like to ask some of you mechanics if you replace pilot bearing and throwout bearing if they are still good? The original is Koyo made in Japan. I'm worried about putting in Chinese replacement bearing. New...
The lights and hazards on my1999 New Holland 3930 ROPS are not working. Does anyone have the fuse box schematic and a lighting system wiring diagram? Of course the first and easiest step is check the lights for power, then fuse box then??? Not a grand time of year to start pulling sheet metal...
I don't seem to be able to close the latch on the top link of my tractor. The sleeve turns easily on the threaded rod but I think I should be able to close the latch down against the sleeve to lock it in place and I can't. I can move the latch from open to about half way closed but this is as...
Okay all - Newbie here that has to relay instructions to another so mechanical work can be frustating. Here we go. My NH 3930 will not start. Wanted to check ignition relay first but my tool man cannot find relay. I checked diagram and thought it was in fuse box but he opened one small fuse box...
Hello,
I need to replace the ALTERNATOR in my New Holland 3930 tractor. I have tried two brand new 950CCA Interstate batteries and both of them have lost cells, i.e. they are losing charging power I believe, after few weeks of use each.
Luckily I replaced one under warranty.
I was told the...

Hi, I have a 1996 3930 (3 cylinder) that I've had for aroubd 4 years. I rebuilt the engine a year ago bc of excessive blow by. Last week, it died on me backing a trailer up a hill and wouldn't restart. I discover that the fuel tank was blocked with crud. Drained tank and out new fuel in, but it...
I have a 1999 NH 3930. Having a problem with my power steering operating correctly. After warming up it pushes fluid out of pressure relief valve. About 3 months ago I replaced the filter and it improved for a short period of time. Now the leak is much worse plus fluid is frothy (getting hot?)...

I recently bought a 3930. Someone welded the telescoping lift arms in place. Is there somewhere to purchase these? Anywhere to find good used ones? Thanks, Craig
I have a 1999 new holland 3930. My tractor has a one cartridge fuel/ water separator. It does not look like the picture that came with my owners manual that shows two cartridge set up with a fuel filter and sediment separator.
I want to change the filter but am unsure about what to do...
I just changed the hydraulic filter on my 3930 for the first time since I bought it (used tractor) I probably lost a qt to half a gallon of fluid. I looked in the manual and can't find anywhere where it tells you where the refill is. I also can't find if there is a dipstick to check the fluid...
Hey guys, New to the sight and hoping for a little insight on my new to me tractor. Its a 94 Ford New Holland 3930 Highway tractor that I have bought from a local state lodge. It has been very well taken care off with service records present at sale and only 2003 hours. Anyways I bought it and...
I'm looking to add a 3rd function valve to my 3930 with 7310 loader for a grapple. Anyone install one. WR Long said they don't make a kit for it. Any ideas?
Our 3930 MFWD with 8x8 shuttle was acting a bit on the sticky/sloppy side. I adjusted the linkage so there wasn't as much play and lubed all of the moving linkage parts with Fluid Film. I can't believe I was too lazy to perform this simple task in the past, as opposed to just living with it...
I have not yet replaced the hydro filter yet on my 3930 (bought it used, previous owner had changed).
Can someone tell me what is involved in doing this. Do you loose much fluid when changing? Is this fluid under pressure when tractor is cold? Do I need to add more fluid? I would assume the...
I have a 1995 Ford NH 3930 MFWD. The fuel shutoff solenoid is not closing when turning the ignition off. I've been having this issue for quite some time. On occasion it will shut off with the keyed ignition, however most times I shut it off manually at the pump. The solenoid wire remains hot...
I had to get a new battery for my 3930. Went to hook it up and I am not 100% sure I am doing it right. One cable has the battery terminal and another smaller cable bolted to it. The other cable has the battery terminal only. Is the cable that has the smaller terminal bolted to it the positive? I...

Just bought a Ford/New Holland 1996, 3930 diesel. Going through everything and find I cannot remove the outer air cleaner element. I have the wing nut removed and the retaining washer. There is a little tab on the end of the outer element which looks like an aid to help pull the elemen straight...
I had a very clean little 3930 a few years back and replaced it with a larger tractor. It has since become evident to me that there is most certainly a need for both a large and a small tractor. I was considering trying to find another 3930 , but this time with FWA. I spoke with a local...
Hey I was wondering if I could get some advice on buying a tractor.
I have been looking at a Ford New Holland 3930 with MFWD ROPS and canopy. It is supposed to be a 1998 model and it has around 2000 hours on it. I haven't went to look at it yet but I was searching for advice on whether it will...
I need some advice from the experts.
I have a 99 New Holland 3930 4wd w/shuttle tranny. When tilling the garden with it, it runs too fast even in the lowest gear. I find myself wanting to ride the clutch in this situation, and I know that is an expensive mistake to make.
My manual says that...
Can the clutch be adjusted? Most rpms can't shift gears, just like no clutch. Y'day I tried to move clutch arm with adjustment on clutch rod back (toward driver seat) but i moved it too much and had no clutch. If you can adjust clutch which way do you move the rod or shaft coming out of the engine.
I am looking at a John Deere 430 round baler, wondering if my New Holland 3930 tractor will pull it efficiently. The tractor is listed at 45 PTO HP, so it might be a little small for that baler. Any ideas? Thanks

I have a 1998 NH3930 w/192 engine with turbo and when it gets hot sometimes it must cool down somewhat before it will re-start. Also, when i turned the lights on one time while going down the road it died. I immediatly turned them off and it went right back running. Keep in mind this tractor...

The front emblem on my NH 3930 has broken off two times. The emblem is a plastic oval that inserts into the top front hood. I guess vibration breaks the emblem studs. I know I don't need it but I am kind of particular when it comes to my equipment. Do any of you know where I can get an oval...

I am looking at a 3930 among other tractors. I do not have a lot of experience picking out used tractors. The independent PTO clutch was just changed out and tractor has 1700hrs on it. Tractor appears in pretty good shape; doesn't smoke tires "ok". I did see a some oil aft of the the oil pan...
I own a NH 3930 (tractor no. 042423B, ModelCA51WX, engine C636596 -96 or 97 model) that is equipped with an oil bath air cleaner instead of the more common dry type. I need the bottom bowl assembly with the sealing ring. The catches on the bowl that I have are broken. The NH dealer said that he...
