    John Deere 50 prices??

    I have a 1956 John Deere Model 50 that was manufactured in February 1956 - just prior to the changeover to the Model 520. It was the last of the 300 "50's" built. I restored it completely and it actually runs better than when it was new. Not sure why it runs better, perhaps the timing was off...

    I am building a pulling tractor out of this 50 and I need to know how much I can safely shave off the head to up the compression. I will be running stock replacement aluminum pistons. Thanks for any help.
