Late to the converstion but I'd just drain the tank, flush with some good fuel and go, couple hours removing the tank and flushing it is far cheaper than plugged filters and or pump damage

kind of hard to do if working from a dock, even if using a pallet puller I wouldn't move the truck, the receiver needs to have the right equipment or order the load palletized by your equipment's max capacity.

I had a cylinder straightened on a 480 Case and the first time it was used to lift a new bucket for a 330 Cat excavator the straightened rod bent in the same place and the other cylinder gave out about 10 seconds later.
