Need forks or a grapple type attachment for my loader. Century 3647

What the Humpolec loaders have is the Euro style quick connection. As shown in the pics, it is a more solid connection than the skid steer connection. I have both on my tractors. You can buy adapters, at least some years ago you could. I have also seen some CNH tractor loaders with the Euro...

    Plowing

One thing not mentioned is whether you have draft control on the tractor. That makes a real difference in how the tractor performs when plowing. Also what type of soil do you have? Sandy versus a hard clay? Many factors to consider when evaluating plowing performance. I know from experience...

    Tractor setting areas on fire?

Years ago we had a Ford 3000 that was seldom pulled extremely hard except when it was hooked up to a silage blower to fill silos. Each year it was part of the farm routine to run the first load into the silo at night to watch the excess carbon in the exhaust stem go up the exhaust pipe as...

    Plow

I have plowed hundreds of acres with a 2 bottom ford roll over plow pulled by a Ford 3000. Weight on rear tires was critical. Ours were filled and we had wheel weights also since that tractor was a 2wd with a front loader. We were plowing heavy sod in late fall/early winter when there was...

Has anyone seen or used a Danuser 519-33 post driver

We had one years ago on the farm. Wish I had kept it. But it was sold when my dad stopped farming. I like it better than a hydraulic model. The biggest maintenance issue is the drive wheel and I do not know if parts are available for it. We never had problems and drove a pile of posts with...

What spray lube do you like?

Good comment about the aviation rusting. My friend actually used the term "cold weld" to describe bonding of the metals that occurred. All I can say is I have had good luck with the product. W Jones

What spray lube do you like?

Any of you ever hear of a product called Mouse Milk? ( Real name of product) It is as effective or better than acetone and ATF and was developed for aeronautic industry. It is the best penetrating oil I have ever used on rusted bolts and nuts. It is expensive but you can buy it online. Rusted...

That is great. Keep us posted as to how this turns out. The packing is a piece that fits between the starter and block and has the same number. Thanks for the update.

    I think I need a Starter

Eddie, I have a parts manual for my Century 2535. I also includes part numbers for the 2028, 3035,3040, and 3045 models. For the starter it has the part number HA 15010000B1. That starter fit all of the three cylinder models for that year (2004). This parts list was published by American...

    Ford 542 baler

In thinking about the route the twine took between the twine box and the needles on the underside of the baler, I seem to remember some tubing guides and tension plates on the side of the baler. As ZZ points out if there is no tension coming from the twine box the twine could flop around and be...

    Ford 542 baler

Southernspeed, what type of hay are you baling. Often first cutting grass hay will be on the soft side if it does not have a lot of stems. We had the same baler and the first cutting hay was never as tight as later cuttings. But that was due to the nature of the hay and not the baler. I see...

Branson BL20 Quick Connect Bucket to Skidsteer Adapter

Just another comment, I have the Euro connector loader on a 2004 Century 2535 (Branson 3510) and a couple of Kubota's with the SSQA. I have already straightened and reworked the front loader SSQA frame on one of the Kubotas. Give me a Euro hitch any day. W. Jones

    White diesel smoke

That is a good first option. As has been said many times diesel engines like to run hard under an appropriate load. I have the same tractor and use it a lot, but I also add Diesel Kleen to my fuel. That seems to help keep the system clean. I only get white smoke on startup and then during cold...

Replacing manual top link with hydraulic on CUT

Go for it! I have had one for years. Neighbor was the first to have one. It will make 3 pt hitch implements much more efficient because of the fine adjustments you can make the go. Especially when grading this makes a big difference. Also if you ever get a set of 3pt forks for the rear you will...

    Plowing MUD!

Such wild weather everywhere. Key months when rain was needed it was dry. Dry fall now wet again with this extreme cold (for Central Va) and high wind. And yet overall total is near normal! Thankfully the subsoil moisture is pretty near normal here. But it is definitely tough for crops when the...

    Century 2535 - need a new head

There was a used one sitting on a Kubota dealers lot in Lynchburg VA a few weeks ago. You could try contacting kubotaoflynchburg.com (434-239-2421) to see if...

Gwtx I have the same tractor and do the same thing you do. At the rpms that are needed for cutter it is just too fast and rough to use the lever. I would ask the mechanic to explain why he recommended what he did. I have never seen a tractor damaged by being gentle with it. W. Jones

    Best battery

I have my original battery in my 2004 Century 2535 (Branson 3510 equivalent). The tractor was made in S. Korea and has been very reliable. I will on occasion put a battery minder on it to allow it to trickle charge and desulfonate the cells. The tractor stays in an open shed but we seldom...

new to me 03 century 2535

Per my operators manual on my 2004 Century 2535 you are supposed to have between 3/4 and 1 1/4" free travel on the clutch pedal. If you have too much it will not allow the PTO fully disengage. Adjustments per manual: 1. Stop engine (remove key);) 2. Depress clutch pedal slightly by hnd and...

Should I even think about 2 wheel drive

Something no one has mentioned is the impact the width of the rear wheels has on stability on a hillside. larger tractors tend to have wider wheelbases and that translates into more stability, especially if weighted properly. That being said, as others have noted, you will never regret at 4wd...

Wilkija, I have the 2004 model of the same tractor and loader combo with ag tires. and almost 1700 hours on it. I religiously use the Kukje filters to avoid any issues. Even today the engine uses no oil between changes. Glow plugs, and other misc items do wear out, but it is a tough tractor...

Do I need a general contractor to build a house?

Well I am a member of the DIY club. My wife and I built our home over 40 years ago and did all the work except for grading, well and septic. We actually sawed the beams for a modified post and beam house. One thing we learned is that if you want to do something you can do it with enough work...

Branson 3510 Hydraulic transmission fluid leak around site glass

And it still is a good wet seeping spot maybe leaking a teaspoon a month? I may fool with it at some point in the future, but it is not that big of an issue after 1600+ hours. The clutch is the item I am watching. :) W Jones

    Buying a Branson

Another voice to this ruckus - I purchased a Century 2535 ( think Branson 3510) in 2004 and now have 1600+ hours on it. Because the rear end was designed to work with larger motors than my 35 pto HP, it will do serious heavy work. For comparison, it is just as sturdy as the rear end of our...

    ROPS Hinge Pin Tight Fit

Just take a dremel tool with a small sanding drum and polish the inside of the holes. When you put the pins back in, put anti-seize on the pins and they will go in easier and gradually loosen over time. With the anti seize you won't have worry about rusting. W. Jones

I recently purchased a PDV 500 Cosmo from Carver Equipment in NC. Great unit. Good price. But for anyone who has one, you had better spend time at the end of the spreading season disassembling and thoroughly cleaning it. I tried the pressure washer midway and you would be amazed at how many...

Snow Attachments Anyone build a v plow out of a trailer tongue?

Yep that is some creative engineering for sure. On a more mundane level, here are pictures of a wooden / metal V plow I made about 10 years ago. Do any of you have experience with the Rotella T-6 oil in your Branson? I have been using the T-4 15w-40 in my Century 2535 for years and thought about trying the T-6. The tractor has 1170+ hours on the motor. Thanks W. Jones

    Yet another snow plow thread!

Here in Central Virginia we do not often get snow, maybe once every 10 years or so we will have a large snow. It is not uncommon to go several years with out a snow that exceeds 3 to 4inches in depth. This does not justify a lot investment in snow removal equipment. But what about those years...
