    Workmaster 75 fuel gauge problem

Got an error code 14052, ground fault error on fuel level sensor. Can't find the darn thing. Downloaded a $20 WM75 repair manual but it's for prior models. Anyone know of a source good for a 2019-20 WM75 manual? Dealer wants in excess of $500 for a hardcopy.

5075e Pricing vs K, NH, MF

So I have gotten pricing from thee John Deere dealers ($48K), and done some online comparisons for New Holland, Kubota and M-F. Seems comparably equipped (55 PTO HP, 12 spd trans, cab, MFWD, loader, rear remotes), the Deere is $7-8 K less than the others? Only model I specifically remember is NH...

    Buying Advice  5303 vs 3075e

5303 vs 5075e I love my 2008 model 5303, but I have got to have a cab. Hearing loss is main issue, but summertime heat, humidity and bugs also factor in. Seems as though the 5075e is a newer version of the 5303, as far as size and HP are concerned. When did the emission controls etc. start...

Buying Advice  Replacing JD 5303 with 5075

I love my 5303, but I have got to have a cab. Hearing loss is main issue, but summertime heat, humidity and bugs also factor in. Seems as though the 5075 is a newer version of the 5303, as far as size and HP are concerned. Is this a correct assumption? Looked around a bit online for used 5303...

Does tractor cab help with the noise level?

My hearing has degraded with age, I wear hearing aids and use Bluetooth headphones with noise suppression when operating any machinery. They help, but I have to turn the music volume way up and it's still very noisy. Would a tractor cab offer any protection worth the expense? Willing to consider...

    JD 5303 RPM problem

I was cutting this morning, and after about an hour when I re-engaged the PTO to power the rotary cutter the rpm would not recover to 2400 and the engine started smoking. I applied full throttle and the rpm still did not recover. Is this a fuel problem? I'm going to check the air filters, fuel...

Trouble bleeding fuel system on 5303

I replaced the fuel filter and instructions are a little vague. Loosen bleed fittings how much? The primer pump does not seem to want to work very well either. I have been throught the procedure 3 times with no luck. THe tech manual instructions are also slightly diferent from the owners manual...

    X300 Mower Belt

The drive belt for my 42 inch mower keeps coming off the first time its engaged. Did not have this problem for first 3+ years. Its a relatively new belt and I have checked and rechecked that the belt is properly installed. I suspect maybe the tensioning spring is worn out? Any experience with...

    3-pt Not Lifting Completely

I recently purchased a grapple for my JD 5303. Since I added the grapple, my 3-pt hitch will not completely lift the rotary cutter off the ground. I have added hydraulic oil and checked the level several times and the problem persists even with the grapple removed and hydraulic hoses...

    Posthole Digger Advice

Finally retired, need to start putting up some fence for cattle, but need advice on PHDs. Noticed some list PTO HP range, others don't, I deduce that the size auger the PHD will accommodate is limited by PTO HP? My tractor PTO HP is about 55. Figure I need larger than 12 inch auger to set corner...

    Pulling Safely

Seen a couple references in the forums the last day or two on using a blanker or tarp thrown over a chain/cable to dampen said chain or cable should it snap under pulling stress. I have wondered what would be a safe way to prevent a backlash from a snapped chain, but a blanket or tarp doesn't...

    Pond Questions?

I have a couple of man-made ponds on my property, primarily dependent on run-off for water supply. The largest of these (about 3 acres) tends to recede to about 35% of its surface area in the summer when the rain is scarce and evaporation high. I ran electrical power to the existing well a few...

    NH 451 sickle mower

Saw a 7ft advertised for $1000. I figure that is a good price, but know nothing about its condition yet. Am interested in getting one for pond maintenance, if I remember correctly, this model has hydraulics to raise/lower the sickle from 90 deg vertical to 70 deg down. Can anyone confirm that...

    JD X-304 Runs Intermittently

Starts and runs good for about 30 mins, then dies, won't start. If it sits for a couple hours or more, same thing, starts and runds good for 30 mins then dies. Already cleaned carb, have Stabilizer in the gas. Any ideas?

    Sprinklers

Can anybody recommend a decent lawn sprinkler? I have bought maybe 20 pulsating type sprinklers, mostly Gilmours, and they work for just a little while and then quit rotating. I have read good reviews on a Melnor 9538, but its a little spendy to buy on speculation. I have about decided that...

    Trailer Towing Question

Going to be purchasing a truck in the near future, and after that possibly a trailer or two. Is a 1500 grade truck (V-8) adequate to pull a 20 ft camper trailer? How about 8x16 enclosed utility trailer with 2 or 3 motorcycles inside? Or do I have to get a 2500? Thanks

    What's This?

Is this what I think it is? Be great if it is, I will soon be looking to purchase a 3-pt sickle mower and will need a hydraulic lift to raise and lower the bar for trimming pond banks and ditches.

    Teaching Wife to Operate Tractor

My wife is retiring soon and wants to learn how to operate our JD 5103 tractor, almost exclusively for bushogging about 30 acres, with trees scattered throughout. Other than me showing her the controls and having her read the operation manuals, is there any other resource around for this sort of...

    Filter removal

Doing 100-hr service and unsuccessful thus far removing transmission/hydraulic filter. Only supposed to be hand tightened then half-turn with wrench when replaced, but this one put on at factory. Anyone got any ideas on how to get this thing off? Already broke one strap-type wrench. I don't have...

    PTO PITA

Is it just me, or is attaching the PTO a PITA? I am no engineer, but would figger there has to be a better way! Its difficult, IMHO, for one person to pull the collar back and still push the PTO shaft on. Not much leverage. Is there any trick for doing this?

    What attachment do I need?

I have a couple of acre+ ponds that have fairly steep outside and inside banks. I have tried to keep brush cut with a DR brush cutter but it tends to slide/lose traction and wears me out pretty quickly trying to manhandle. I guess what I need is a boom-mounted cutter of some kind that gives me...

    Rotary cutter wheel

The rear wheel on my MX-7 cutter does not readily swivel when turning. I have looked and the wheel bar does not appear bent comparing it to a picture in the manual and it rotates easily enough when off the ground. Any ideas what the problem could be?
