Incoming signal issue. Guess I get to build the starter relay. Sure will save a lot of aggravation. Seems like an easy build. Anything to watch for? Thank yall for your help.

Interesting. I've replaced the negative but not positive cable. Changed the end but not the cable and it is old and been outside.

I hear the starter engage with the flywheel with the click but nothing turns over. I assume the starter is trying to turn over since I hear it click. I can keep on trying and trying and trying and then suddenly it will fire right up.

Doesn’t make sense to me either but all I can come up with. It’s a new starter that when disconnected works fine everytime through the tractor wiring. It’s getting juice and engaging right just doesn’t turn over the flywheel.

Early 2000 D40 seldom starts on the first, second, third, etc key turn. I’ve pulled the starter and grounded it to the frame and it throws and spins solid every time. My best guess is a rusty flywheel here in the southern humidity prevents the starter from spinning the flywheel and starting...

I neglected to label my steering lines when I sent the hydraulics in for repair. How do I know which one goes on driver left? The line from the steering pump goes back to the steering column so no help there. Case d40
