    2400h A1100N2 engine power increase

Does anyone know if the power from the A1100N2 in the 2400h can be turned up by adjusting the screw on the injection pump?

What have you done to your Branson today?

I rekeyed the ignition switch on my 2400h today. When I bought the tractor 3 weeks ago it only came with one key. I bought one of these switches on sale for $9.99 and used the tumblers from the new switch in the Branson switch. Same tumblers and springs.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Solved! The main spool has another rather small spool inside it that in my case was stuck. Cleaned it well and reassembled. Lift arms now raise at idle. Branson 2400h position control valve fix.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Well looks like the main spool on my position control valve is leaking by. Going to pull it apart again and have a closer look at it. Here is a short video. 2016 Branson 2400h position control valve leaking

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

The lift arms stay in position until I lower them. There is no leakage by the piston. I plan to shim the cover with 2x4 and run it. I suspect to see fluid flow from this port if this O-ring is leaking by. I'll get the old Mitutoyo digital calipers out and see if I have O-rings that fit.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Moving the spring got my 3ph positioning working. I can now control the positioning fairly well. It still requires about 1400 rpm to move. I priced a new positioning valve at $506 USD. I'll play with it a bit more tomorrow but it's working for the most part.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

I found a receipt from 2019 where he bought a bucket of Duratran oil, FE9105 and TA069864 filter. I'm just waiting on the dealer for my new filters but the oil looks OK.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Well I pulled the hydraulic cylinder case again this evening. I may have found my position control valve issue. Someone was in here before and had reassembled the valve incorrectly. They installed the spring over the main spool instead of between the arm and seat. It should be like this...

Whats the difference between bl00 and sl00 FEL?

I know this is an old post but I have a manual for my 2016 SL00 loader and thought I'd post the specs pages. The manual says printed June 2014.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Something I did was replace the cotter pin the previous owner put in the trottle lever instead of the Roll pin the parts manual shows. The throttle lever had a little play before I installed the roll pin. I'm going to bleed the fuel filter before starting it again. I've looked through two...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

2400h update. Engine smoking at start. I drained the tank and added fresh diesel. Added Hotshots Diesel Extreme. Now it smokes at full rev and seems to Rev higher than it did before. The bottle called for 250 ml per 80 litres. I may have over dosed it a little. 3PH not raising at idle. I...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Yes I have a hydraulic flow meter and pressure Guage set at work. I may bring them home this evening for testing. I painted the bucket on my Satoh Beaver with a roller and Corrostop paint. Took forever to dry but it is tuff stuff.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

I zoomed in on that power beyond sleeve and noticed it looks to have a Teflon oring backer. Mine does not. If I can't find one I'll make one on the lathe. Would be nice if it was just that backer missing.
  15. J

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

I changed out the oring on the sleeve. It didn’t look bad but I changed it anyway since I had it out. I still need to have the rpm up to about 1500 for the 3ph to move. I decided to put everything back together and drive it around a bit to test out my neutral return spring and the HST drive...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

I wonder if my loader valve has a faulty C circuit. The hydraulic pump has enough flow at idle to move the loader well. When I had the C and T lines reversed the flow coming from the loader cylinder when dropping was enough to raise the 3ph at idle.
  17. J

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

I believe this is the loader valve diagram. Flow from pump passes through to C port when the loader valve is in the neutral position or in float position. Flow to C is blocked in all other positions. T port is the return to tank port. I cracked the hose fitting for port C and confirmed in...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Well this is unexpected. The round block feeding my loader and 3PH is not ported as I expected. I thought it was supplying fluid to the 3ph as it originally would have without the loader. The only way for it to get fluid now is if it goes through the loader valve first. The C line is not...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Someone had mentioned this earlier but I'm just checking the lines now. Looks like my C and T lines are reversed on my loader control valve according to the loader manual. My loader control valve has a port marked T and the T line is connected to this port cut the manual says the C line should...

Priced a backhoe at the dealer yesterday...

I priced a backhoe and frame mount at my local dealer for my 2016 Branson 2400h. He quoted me $9800 Canadian installed or $8900 not installed plus tax. Anyone have an idea what US dealers asking for these?

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

I didnt mentioned that both brake return springs, and the neutral return spring were missing and he had bungee cords and other springs in their place. 🤣 I ordered those from the dealer and they are about a week out. In the meantime I made my own that are working well.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Oldnslow, It's my understanding the hydraulic hose (hardline on yours) is the supply line from the pump. Fluid enters the position control valve here and returns to "tank" in the rear differential. It doesn't appear the banjo bolt would be blocked. I've got it all back together and it's...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

I didn't get a chance to start the tractor last night as it was getting late. I had found a manual for setting this valve but can't seem to find it again. The two levers, positioning and feedback, both need to be connected for the spool to move. If only one is connected the internal arm just...

He put a winch switch. I found scuffing on this rod on the valve spool. Going to buff it out.

I removed this thingy to see why it's not working.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

The only differences I see between our tractors is mine has a hydraulic hose supplying pressure and your's has a hard line. Mine has the banjo bolt head drilled and tapped for pressure take of and your's works and mine doesn't. 🤣 Nothing looks bent or damaged on the internal position or...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

I'm going to remove the 3ph valve assembly and check these levers for damage this evening. I may be able to run the tractor if I keep the supply line connected and test the positioning valve.

No they are not. I can manually move them up and down by hand with no resistance.

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

The 45 degree is not connected to anything. It's capped off. I believe it's for an optional addon rear hydraulic control for blower chute control or a hydraulic toplink. The hydraulic line connected to the banjo is coming from a block near the front. Playing with these arms I was able to get...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

The 3ph does not raise. I did check the 3ph lowering control knob when I first went to see the tractor. I wasn't that lucky. I found a claw hammer jammed under the seat and the position control lever was bent. I moved the position control arm by hand and nothing. The feedback arm jam nuts are...

Hello from a new Branson 2400h owner.

Hi all I just bought a 2016 Branson 2400h 4x4 with the sl00 fel and an MK Martin 60 inch blower. The lady I bought it from didn't post a price in the ad so when I inquired and she said $6k (CDN) I bought it. 324 hours on it. The only thing wrong with it is the rear hydraulic lift arms don't...

    GC2300 with 3870 hours

As for the price there just isn't many small used tractors in my market area. $1k doesn't buy anything in my market. Used rotary cutters regularly go up for sale for $2k. Thanks for the information.

    GC2300 with 3870 hours

I'm looking at buying a GC2300 with FEL that has 3870 hours on it. The seller is asking $8500 Canadian for it which is about $6250 USD. For a 20 year old tractor that's about 200 hours per year. I haven't gone to see it in person yet as it's a 4.5 hour drive. Depending on how it was maintained...

New to forum and Satoh S370D

Hi all, I picked up a new to me Satoh S370D a month ago. It wouldn't start so I pulled the head and found a cracked rear piston and seized rings on the front piston. I replaced both pistons and rings after lightly honing the cylinder bores. It started right up after and seems to run great and...
