    Tractor Pricing Guide

In July of 2022 I bought a 2001 TC30 with 950 hours for about $5600. It only had a belly mower. In December of '22 I bought the loader for about $2800 including the trade of the deck. So total machine was about $8400.

    Looking for advice/input. 2003 TC33da potential purchase

I have a TC30 with an NTC30 loader. I have had no issues with the aftermarket loader and actually prefer it since it comes with the SSQA loader. I have pushed over a couple 6" trees with my TC30. I cut them first and left a 4-5 foot stump. I did have to push on one side and then go around to the...

Tractors and wood! Show your pics

That's what I'm hoping. I have already cut it to width, 6", so it dries consistently, but I won't plane it or T&G it until it's properly dry.

Tractors and wood! Show your pics

Not firewood, but logs and wood. I loaded up 10 logs with my TC-30. The two largest ones it could barely pick up. They were around 24". I took them to my friend who has a very nice Wood Miser and came home after 3 hours of work. This piece was pretty typical of what I brought home. 6 of...

    TC30 intermittent cranking

I had a very similar issue as far as not cranking. On mine it was the mid-PTO safety switch not always being engaged. I bent the tang on the PTO lever to more fully engage the switch and haven't had an issue since.

    Looking for ford loaders

I was looking for a loader for my New Holland TC30 late last year. I found one at Long Lane Tractor in Pennsylvania. I rented a trailer and drove out from Indiana to pick it up. They had 2 or 3 7108 loaders in stock. They are a tractor breaker that specializes in Ford and New Holland.

    Loader valve issues

I did find out that it is a Besko HDM03/2 valve, and even found a parts breakdown for it, but I can't find anyone online that has any of the parts. This is the listing I found online somewhere.

    Loader valve issues

I wanted to follow up. Last night I took the cap off the loader valve and there was indeed moisture and rust on the detente balls, cone and the sleeve that they fit in. I cleaned them all up and rotated the cone and sleeve because there was some wear from the rust, lubed it and it works...

    Loader valve issues

I have a New Holland TC30 with an Ansung NTC30 loader on it. I bought them separately, not that it matters. When I got the loader the float function on the loader worked fine. I have noticed that the float no longer works and the raise and lower function is more jerky than it used to be. The...

    NH TC30 electrically dead

I have a TC30 with a sometimes finicky PTO switch. Turn the key to on and then push the PTO levers to the off position and see if it comes to life.

    What's My Tractor Worth?

I tried to use it on my TC30 and it won't recognize the serial number from the data plate that the manual says is the serial number. I guess they still have some bugs to work out.

    A little miffed

I don't understand why everyone always says dealers don't like doing warranty work or lose money on warranty work. I worked at a small engine shop for over 20 years. We were a dealer for Gravely, Briggs, Kawasaki engines, Kohler engines, and Echo power equipment. All of those manufacturers paid...

Guy is renting out his tractor for 6 month period

I worked at a rental store for several years. You might be surprised at how much damage can be done to a log splitter in just a weekend, even just 4 hours. We had control valves and handles broken off; tires ruined, and hydraulic rams gouged with a maul. The worst was when the customer would...

The trenchers at the rental yard where I used to work dug a 6" wide trench. One pass easy-peasy.

Advice on tractor for 7.5 acres - Mowing pasture and general use - L3902? What flail mower?

I mow my dam bank with my Gravely zero turn. It is a commercial unit and is heavy though. A walk behind, or even a stand on machine should mow it without issue.

    16k trailer with 14500 payload.

The trailer frame does stay basically the same. The tongue stays on the ball hitch of the tow vehicle and the frame of the trailer stays horizontal and all four tires stay on the ground, only the dump bed changes angles. It might raise the hitch a couple inches as the dump bed raises, but...

    16k trailer with 14500 payload.

I also have not weighed the different loads on the axles of a pivoting axle trailer, but I can say that when I worked at a rental yard that rented dump trailers it was only ever the rear axle that bent. I asked the trailer rep why that was and he said they see it all the time. According to him...

    Simplicity Legacy Tractor?

I worked at an outdoor power dealer a while back (5 yrs) and we carried Simplicity. Paystar is right, they are owned by Briggs. They seemed well built, but I only worked there for a year after we started carrying them. So I didn't see if there were followup issues. We did sell a couple Legacy...

    TC-30 Hydro leak

Unfortunately it is not only weeping. It leaves a good trail of oil while using it. I've added about 3 quarts of hydro oil in 8-9 hours of use. The nearest New Holland dealer is over an hour away so just popping in to ask isn't really an option.

    TC-30 Hydro leak

I have a 2008 New Holland TC-30 with about 960 hours on it. It runs great and does everything I need it to do. It does have a major oil leak, and after using it for about 10-12 hours it's clear that it is a hydraulic oil leak. Here are a couple pictures to give an idea where it is leaking. From...

My machine has 954 hours on it, but I only bought it last July and there were no records with it at all. I think I'm going to maybe try to adjust the spring tension and see if it helps. I have read all I can find on this issue and it seems like it may be operating "normally" for this system...

    Does Anyone Buy Used Tractors?

I bought used and saved a lot of money. I could not afford what I wanted new. I have fixed all the minor stuff and have a reliable tractor for thousands...

    New Tractor Sales Are Declining

I think probably more than 50% of the people buying right now can't afford the new cars, they just don't know it yet. The difference between you and them is that you are smart enough to recognize it.

    Mini, narrow tractor recommendations

70-90hp tractor for a 7 acre plot seems like way overkill to me. I would think a pre tier4 tractor in the 30hp range or a newer subcompact in the 24hp range would be much more suited to his acreage.

    Loader for a TC30

Two questions. How difficult will it be to put a front end loader on my TC30 that didn't come from the factory with one? Are the hydraulic controls easy enough to remove from a tractor from a salvage yard and install on mine? Secondly: What loaders fit the TC30? I know that the 7308 fits, and I...
