Does anyone have first hand knowledge they could share of if a D722 kubota engine can be installed in a RTV900?
Not sure if the physical characteristics of the engine are the same.
The only two adjustment screws I detect are the drain screw (part 18 & 19) and throttle adjustment (part number 22 and 23).
When I lower the throttle adjustment, it just dies. This is not a fuel air adjustment.
The main jet (part 4 ) and slow jet (part 17). Are clean and unobstructed.

I have an EH63 in a 2004 Polaris side by side that idles high (approximately 1600 to 1800 rpm). I could live with my mom that RPM, but at that engine speed, it grinds the transmission when shifting. Approximately 1000 hours on machine.
When i adjust the throttle idle screw lower the...
I reinstalled the bracket to the shaft. I have attached a photograph of my modifications. I have doubled up on the set screws. Two for each hole. That way they bind against each other and do not come lose.
I suspect the design issue is that the "stop" for the forward and reverse motion of...
Definitely a bead of weld in the way. Approximately 1/2 inch wide. I attached the photograph again, the bead is clearly visible.
Also, I emailed the ebay seller and asked if this was his standard and he said it was. He has sold about 100 of these plates in the past year.
I figured the "bottom flat surface" of the QT assembly was a full sixteen inches but wanted some reassurance. I have to modify and fabricate parts of two bucket assemblies and wanted them to be standard.
I have reposed the photographs so others can see the measurements I took.
Thank you for...
I have a newly purchased weld-on adapter plate and new weld-on skid pads. One or the other are the wrong size.
There are plenty of online images of specifications, but i could not locate any with that included an actual tape measure.
The first three photographs show the measurement of the...
The shaft was not wore, it was chipped off, please review the photograph. The second photograph, when enlarged offers great detail of the chip and the shaft.
I had dropped the shaft key into the bowels of the skid steer and when using a magnet to get it, this was also stuck to the magnet.
I...
I guess I am more optimistic. Removing the pump is a major amount of work.
I think that I can merely drill and tap some set screws on the lever and also shave off a bit more of the center of the clamp that binds to the shaft.(I have attached a photograph of the linkage with a circle of the...
I have re-posted the photograph of the shaft damage. Please review the photograph carefully, It shows the the wear of the shaft. It was dark in the garage, so I could not get a better photograph.
The damage is substantial, 24/4ths of the key way is worn away.
some parts of the linkage are...
Curiosity killed the cat. I did not plan to work on this for a while, but could not help it.
I have included some photographs below. Please review the first photograph closely to see the damage to the shaft. The key groove in the pump control shaft is extremely wore. When disassembling, I...
Once it is powered up and operating, it moves smooth and both directions. Most times when warmed up, it behaves as expected, but even then it sometimes engages without operator command.
some times when starting, a pump is "engaged" and when I jiggle or move one of the operating handles I can...
Has been an issue for the 20 years I have owned it. I am motivated to fix it as it is dangerous. the pump activation is unpredictable and unavoidable. It sometime engages at idle, some times when cold. Many times when trying to start it, the pump is engaged and I have to try and jiggle the...
What is an acceptable gap between the mount plate and the quick tach?
The wrench in the photograph is a 3/4 inch craftsman and there is extra room above it. So, almost 1/2 inch gap. The photograph is looking up into the slot where the pin would be when the two components are mounted.
I am trying to figure the best way to attach the yellow assembly in the photographs to the two inch square tubing. The yellow is a 1/4 skeleton structure with an 1/8, or a bit thicker, outer shell.
If i leave the outer layer on, I can weld the ends of the 1/4 skeleton on the bottom section...
I plan to weld two inch square tubing to furthest top and furthert bottom of the two plates due to constraints. I have included photographs below.
could some general feedback be provided as to any possible obstruction with the bucket plate?
Again, I do not yet have the bucket weld on plate to...
Top lip of new plate as aligned with existing top plate.
I was not sure how important it was to have the top edge of the plate align with the top of the existing plate I plan to weld to.
The first photograph has the two lips aligned at the top.
This photograph has the new plate centered...
Have a couple more questions, I will post them as separate replies.
What are thoughts on eliminated the spring and handle component on the latching system?
Tis will allow me to only add two inches of distance from my original quick attach to the new plates. The two inches is for the strength...
Is 44 inches the inside diameter of the quick attach?
Am currently building one on my tractor, not the bucket. And want to be sure that is a good measurement.
In reviewing the specifications for the bucket, it is usually about 45 inches. This would be one-half inch extra on each side of my...
