    Cat 933

Looking at older smaller 15-20k lb track loaders for a little work on the farm. Found a Cat 933. Owner isn’t much help with info other than saying runs good, no leaks and under carriage is good. Can anyone tell me what series it might be? Hp? Pain the butt to find parts or run? Any other...

    Industrias America

Anyone use one of their rotary cutters? One friend told me about their 10’ mowers and the price is less than a good used Deere or Bush Hog. I was questioning their quality but another trusted friend said he had experience with their 3 point blades and they were stout. His opinion is pretty much...

    Pto shaft advice

I realize it has to telescope. Maybe I’m not asking the question properly. I’ll try it with the longer single pto shaft assembly and see how it does. If it vibrates or comes off and beats the heck out of me then I’ll switch it up.

    Pto shaft advice

I picked up a Woods C114 10’ cutter last fall. It was missing the pto shaft. Looking online it appears it had a 2 section driveline with possibly a carrier bearing in the middle with a shorter shaft attaching to the tractor. I’ve seen several setup like this. But I’ve also seen a few with just a...

    Gravel road maintenance

It crossed my mind for the road grader job but I don’t need everyone on my butt all the time. And between a 60hr a week plant engineering job, gun shop and starting a trucking company I don’t need another job lol

    Gravel road maintenance

No pics. At work at the moment. I’d say 98% dirt and the gravel is small road rock. Usually the grader operaters just smooth it back onto the road and we get flats for the next month or so around here. I set my side linkage so it cuts more on the outside and then after a couple passes I wind up...

    Gravel road maintenance

After advice on here I purchased an EA land plane to maintain my mile of gravel road. Does an amazing job. Talked to the road grader and he cut some of the ditches awhile back to help where they had filled back in. Should I blade the dirt/rock mound on to the road and smooth it out with several...

    What did I just buy?

Anyone know the model of the cutter I picked up today? I’m pretty sure it’s a Woods. It’s belt driven to the spindles and they say Woods 15184. Ordered new belts because they’re splitting. It’s 10’ outside to outside. Need to replace the tires if anyone has recommendations on what to get. One...

    Brush cutter build

I made sure I boxed in the back to keep as much debris as possible inside the cutter. I was pretty apprehensive at first, my machine only has heat so I run without the door when it’s warm. A few buddies have em and they said they don’t have problems with stuff coming back at them as long as they...

    Brush cutter build

No slip clutch. That’s one function of the motor relief valve, in case you hit something and over pressure it. Motor said case drain was optional. Skid steer doesn’t have one so if I tear a motor up I’ll add one. 23 gpm @ 3000 psi

    Brush cutter build

She still needs paint so don’t judge her too harshly. Picked up a Deere 609 brush cutter. Found a chart that showed heavy duty brush cutters and searched till I found one close to home. It’s rated for 4” stuff. Did the formula and I’m thinking I bought a 10 ci motor. 5/8” hoses and and a motor...

    Deere 540 pto spline

I’m building a brush cutter for my skid steer from a 3 point Deere 609 brush cutter. Input shaft turns out to be 21 spline 1 3/8”. All the specs I can find say it’s 540 rpm. My mx6 is also 21 spline 1 3/8”. Was it common for Deere to use that size of input shaft for 540 rpm?

    Tree shear, rotate or not

I saw they were in Sedalia, might have to take a trip there. I like that they can cut at or below ground level
  21. R

    Tree shear, rotate or not

Been looking up the Precision. Anything you don’t like about it? They say it’ll cut between a 9-12” tree. How hard is it to get a 12” in the jaws? It’s another 1k more than the Jenkins but the extended reach looks nice except they say not to use it to stack brush

    Hitch mount spreader

Any suggestions on a quality hitch mount spreader for grass seed, fertilizer and food plots? It’ll be used on our utvs and quads so it’d be nice to be able to turn it off from in the cab. Which I already have a switch and remote plug in for the sprayer in the utv I’ll use it most in. My new...

Which side for quick attach plate

Skid steer brush cutter from a 3 point unit. I had planned on welding my qa plate on the side where the 3 point used to be and boxing in under it to keep debris away from me. I was told to weld it on the other side so it would throw the debris away from me and if I welded it where the 3 point...

    Case drain

Trying to pick a hydraulic motor for my skid steer brush cutter build. Trying to find one to handle my loaders gpm and psi is slim. Skid steer brush cutter

I could see where it would be with the front wheel. I’m going to remove my wheel and open up the front to expose the blades. It’s more for reclaiming some land then mowing. I’d rather sit on the tractor and drink a beer while mowing then sit in the skid steer lol.

    Skid steer brush cutter

Wasn’t planning on a hinged plate. But driveline should be the same. Looking at going with a 9-10 displacement motor. They have a char-Lynn that I’ll probably go with. Looks to be the only one with a high enough gpm, pressure and rpm rating. Also the most expensive, my luck as usual lol

Starting a new project and been researching and reading forums for tips and advice. I have a case 90xt and am supposed to pick up a Deere 609 brush cutter Monday. Shear vs tree saw

    Shear vs tree saw

I’d like a Marshall saw but kinda pricey. Was bidding on one till it went way over what I wanted to give. The trees are a mixture of both. It was originally dozed and cleared. The trees grew like that then after mowing I’m sure there’s mature sprouts growing from the cut offs

OVER TIRES TRACKS questions hands on experience ???

I like my loegring ott metal tracks. Have em on my 90xt. When I’m in the timber or anywhere soft they’re a life saver. I think they tear up the ground a lot less than just my tires when in soft stuff. On gravel or hard pack I just make sure I take it easy turning. Makes it a whole different...

    Moving Cordwood

Do they make an adapter for your Kubota to switch to quick attach? I have one for our John Deere. I ran hoses from my rear auxiliaries so I can use the grapple from my skid steer when it’s too muddy out for the skid steer.

    My mini dozer build

Awesome fab skills. Keep an eye on the 4 bolt flange bearings. We use a lot of em at work. When our operators are loading and unloading rolls if they bump into the the shafts supported by the bearings they have a tendency to crack the housings.

    Skid steer tree saw

I have a tree puller. I have a 90xt and you start getting close to 8” trees and it takes some time. We have a large duck lake that’s needing some attention and I thought the tree saw would be quicker. Do the manual sawfish style work well or would I be wishing I had bought a powered saw?

    Case 75xt hydraulic issues

How fast can you raise your loader arms from the ground to full up? I believe the single gear pump has something to do with charge pressure to the wheel drives. Mine was slow when activating the hydraulics and drove "funny" till I replaced it.

Premix vs gas station 2 stroke

I didn’t think it was worth it just wanted some reassurance that it wasn’t magically a lot better for the equipment. I can probably go thru 10 gal a year. Which isn’t a lot. But it’s a lot of money for the premixed. Thanks

trying to pick a brush cutter

I have a case 90xt I've been wanting a brush cutter for. I was originally sold on the mtl but had a farmer tell me about his Jenkins. I like the idea of the wheels and pivoting design. Any downside to this? The Jenkins is a bit more but not enough to turn me off from it. Anyone have the Jenkins?

    Skid steer big enough?

I知 almost finished with my grapple bucket build and was looking at building a mower out of a 5 brush cutter. Grapple material question

Going to start building a grapple bucket for my Case 1840 once I get caught up on honeydo's around the house. Would 3/8" x 3" a36 be strong enough for the tines? I'll probably gusset them at the ends. Kinda worried about weight. Prefer not to have an 800lb grapple.
