ZTR - Front Mount or Mid Mount?

Looking to purchase a ZTR mower for our 1.25 acres, sloped riverbank, tree beds, walkways, tree islands, etc. etc. I'm considering all ZTR's, and have looked at Ferris, eXmark, Kubota, John Deere, Toro, and Grasshopper so far. Looking at Scag this weekend. The first big decision is whether...

    B1700 vs. BX2200

I have come accross a B1700 with 259 hours on the clock. This machine comes with an Allied Loader model 80, with both a 60" and a 48" bucket. It also has a 3PH sprayer and a Farm King Box Scraper with Tines. There is no mower. The price converted to USD is approx. $10,650. I have looked...

    YM1300/YM1300D

Greg, I'm still waiting to hear if it is a 1300 or 1300D. The MMM is a 3 blade mower. The lift mechanism for the MMM is with a cable that goes over some sort of pully on the rear of the tractor, perhaps off the hydraulics for the 3PT. I'm not sure - does this sound correct?

    YM1300/YM1300D

trentay - you are correct, that was a typo about 1330. Thanks for the feedback. I believe the one being considered is a 1300D. My dad has offered him $1875 so we'll see what happens.

    YM1300/YM1300D

Anyone have experience with a YM1300/YM1300D? My dad is looking at purchasing one with a MMM for around $2200. Any major issues with this tractor? Any problems getting parts? How about performance and/or reliability? Oh, one more question - what is the difference between YM1330 and YM1300D?

    BX B7500 Safety

On my Ariens GT20 I used to occasionally have to stand up while roto-tilling to see if there was a rock or something I was going to run over. Everytime I stood up, with the tiller/pto engaged, the tractor would shut-down. The problem here is that before the engine was completely stopped, I...

    Bashing

Hey guys, TheChamp here again. I went to the closest Kubota dealer on Saturday with my Dad to talk more "turkey", and see what he had to say about the JD Dealer claims on the Kubota. He pretty much addressed each one, but had to dig though a Kubota book most of the time for the answers. We...

    Bashing

Wow! This absolutely has been an interesting thread! This is what living in the free world is all about. way to go everyone! I'm going to go to another Kubota dealer tomorrow morning to let him address some of the bashing the JD guys did. I'm also going to see if he does any JD or NH...

    CANADIAN KUBOTA

I can't imagine a single Canadian Kubota dealer not wanting some real "green"! (hey, I'm a Canadian, I know!) Since some of the Kubota's are built in the U.S. there might not be a problem. This also holds true for things such as no speedometer in Kilometers rather than Miles. However, I do...

    Bashing

Re: One point about safety switches One more point I just remembered about the JD Guys bashing the BX2200. This time it's the Treadle peddle. They were pretty long winded about how awful the Treadle peddle is, and that you can't put your foot on the break at the same time - quote "unless you...

known problems with jd4100 hst I should know about

Re: known problems with jd4100 hst I should know a I have a JD4000 series brochure here in front of me. On the back it says, "The 4200 through 4700 Tractors were designed and are assembeld at our factory in Agusta, Georgia." I checked out the Deere website. Indeed under specs, it lists Japan...

    Bashing

I have a JD4000 series brochure here in front of me. On the back it says, "The 4200 through 4700 Tractors were designed and are assembeld at our factory in Agusta, Georgia." This leaves the birthplace and raising of the 4000 in question....

    Bashing

The NH Dealer was ok, just talked about his product. The JD Sales guy that did the most bashing was the Sales Manager!!!! (He even told me he used to sell Kubota...). We've got just under 2 acres of mud right now, with about a 45 degree slope to the Red River. (We live about 10 miles north...

    Bashing

Ok, guys, I need your input. I was out Tractor Hunting today, visited 2 JD Dealers, 1 Kubota Dealer, and 1 New Holland Dealer. I'm comparing the JD4100 vs BX2200 vs TC21D. I'll have a bunch of questions on specifics later (after I review the specs and brochures 100 times!) For now, wanted...

    I'm a newbie!

Re: I\'m a newbie! balchy, what did you compare to before purchasing your BX? JD has the 4100. What helped in your decision to purchase the BX1800, and why not the BX2200? I'm in the same boat as you! TheChamp

Considering BX2200, but what about Clippings?

I've recently sold my Ariens GT20 Garden Tractor with the intent of moving up the ladder to a "sub-compact", such as the BX1800 or BX2200. I would like to get a BX2200, FEL and 60" MMM. I have found a new BX1800 with a 54" MMM for $13,000CDN (about $8400USD). We have just under 2 acres on a...
