    another hiccup to going solar?

Generally I would agree with you ;) but I am yet another SoCal (SCE) customer and having done the math, I chose to significantly "over-build" my system. This is a new home that we built and it is where we will spend our retirement. It was important to me to not have a utility bill. The house...

    Air Compressor Performance

Having retired and just completed my final house/shop, I am treating myself to some nicer equipment. I have used an IR TS5L4 5HP 230V 175psi compressor for the last 25+ years and it has been very reliable. BUT, it is very noisy and (although not its fault), there's often a lot of water in the...

Really need your advice whether my daughters car is safe to drive or not as she needs to return to school later this morning

Yes, I'd be pretty certain you found/fixed it. The vacuum leak was letting unmetered air into the intake causing the idle to increase. Just like cracking open the throttle a bit more. The ECU was trying to reduce the idle through it idle air control (IAC) and was unable to - hence the light.

Keeping my fingers crossed!!! That would be GREAT!

    DK xx10 fuel heater

I just purchased the Kioti OEM fuel heater for my DK4210SE. It comes with the whole fuel filter assembly - including a new fuel filter. Up top is the priming cylinder. The heater itself looks like ~1" cylindrical "spacer" just above the fuel filter. A couple of small hoses and some wiring...

    1st time buyer - 35 hp comparisons

You seem to know what HP you want/need... but as or more important is the size and weight of the tractor. My first small tractor was the Kubota L2501 - which was really a wonderful tractor but most importantly, it allowed me to really learn what I valued/needed after having used it - rather...

LS XR4145 blown head gasket at 610 hours?

"loud knock" description has me thinking that it is something much more serious than a head gasket.

Kioti DK4210SE Cab - An Update

Well, I've had the Kioti for about 2.5-years now having purchased it new in June 2021. We only have ~5 acres here in SoCal so the tractor rarely works all day on any given task but instead gets used for 2-3 hour jobs here and there. The most frequent attachments are the bush hog and the box...

    Questions about Kioti tractors

Many assembly devices used in factories have either preset or known-torque values that the achieve time and time again. How do you know what grade bolts are being used? BTW, SAE grades are commonly 2, 5, and 8 whereas in the metric world (and I'm sure Kioti is all metric), the common grades...

    Ram 1500 EcoDiesel

I had a 2016 ED 1500 that I bought new and I drove it ~65K trouble-free miles. It was a loaded "Limited" and had the air suspension. It was probably my favorite truck that I ever owned. I traded it in on a F350 when our towing needs changed... While the F350 checks the box in towing...

Kubota L2502: More than just a pretty new face?

... and lift capacity is more important than you might think. I believe many newbies will look at lift capacity and think of how many things they may want to "carry" at that weight and in up settling for a smaller capacity. But lifting capability plays a BIG role when you are using a...

Who Listens to a Stereo in their Cab'd Tractor?

Well, I just completed the upgrade of the stereo in my Kioti DK4210SE Cab. The upgrade consisted of a new, Kioti-compatible, bluetooth (&USB stick) head unit a small powered subwoofer, upgraded speakers... AND SPEAKER WIRING. I cap that because I discovered the Kioti uses some kind of...

Getting a Dump Trailer to haul TYM 47HP a good idea

I purchased a dump trailer a year or so before buying a tractor. The fact that I can haul my tractor around in it has been an added bonus. (I drove from SoCal to Phoenix, AZ to go pick up my tractor when I purchased it and the trailer was flawless the whole trip.) The dump trailer has been a...

Who Listens to a Stereo in their Cab'd Tractor?

Great that I am not alone in liking to have a little music. As a couple of you have said, Bluetooth is a real bonus - whether you like the radio or not, at least you can connect your phone! K5lwq - your set-up looks really nice. Some small coaxial speakers are inexpensive and a BIG upgrade...

Who Listens to a Stereo in their Cab'd Tractor?

I purchased my Kioti DK4210SE Cab tractor about 18 months ago. It came with "OEM" rear speakers in the headliner and pre-wired for a stereo. At first I thought the idea of a stereo was kind of frivolous. However, I soon found a Kioti-compatible stereo for ~$90 on Ebay. It took about 15...

    another hiccup to going solar?

ROI timeframes will vary a lot I suppose based on where you live (how much sun), energy rates, how much you pay for the solar (DIY will save you a LOT), and what kind of grid connections terms may be available in your area. We are just completing a new home & shop. In the planning phase I...

    another hiccup to going solar?

As FYI, the new CA NEM 3.0 plan goes into effect after April 15, 2023. Applicants (like myself) have until April 15 to submit their application for NEM 2.0. Once the application is in, you can get on the NEM 2.0 plan and you will be grandfathered on this plan (like all other NEM 2.0 customers)...

Price Check Dk4210se hydrostat cab w/ loader

Yeah, you don't have to hit the switch at all. I think the switch is in case you wanted to manually go into a DPF cycle. If you're fine at that RPM, then that's good. I think it is a little on the high side. I'm running normally around 1700 RPM and no that I've seen a few DPF cycles without...

DK 4710sech-tl with cab lift capacity

I have a DK4210HSE w/cab - same capacities as the 4710. It will lift it. You may want to have at least something on the 3-point to help counter-balance the load up front. Typically I'll have the box scraper loaded up. My rear tires are filled too - but I did this when I first purchased the...

Home Building Questions - Propane - All electric - Fireplace

Definitely will use LiFePo - almost all storage is that way now anyway. If I don't use Enphase batteries, then I will likely use a an easily extendable rack-mounted battery system - either 30 or 60kW (still planning). But, yes, the batteries WILL be able to run the AC units. These new...

Home Building Questions - Propane - All electric - Fireplace

I too am in the process of building our final home. We're in Southern California and we have a lot of sunlight - so solar energy is much more abundant than other parts of the Country. As such, the new house will be all electric - albeit with the best energy-efficient appliances that we can...

Price Check Dk4210se hydrostat cab w/ loader

I purchased my Kioti DK4210SE Cab model about 18 months ago.... and it has been absolutely flawless. Only recently have I ever used the heater but I have used the AC a lot! I can't say enough about this brand/model. My previous (first) tractor was a Kubota 2501. Another wonderful tractor...

My solar is working for me

My son and I installed solar on our house in SoCal in 2013. My annual electricity cost was ~$5,000. $500 and $600 a month in the summer months (air conditioning) and then 200's to 300's for the other months. I too was skeptical about solar and my mindset was to bring down the usage into the...

Kubota still offering 0 percent financing

In 2013, I installed my own solar panels (30 of them) on my home in SoCal. Solar panels generate DC power and you have to convert that to AC power. Most systems use a large inverter and all of the panels tie into that inverter and it converts the DC to AC. I had read a lot about this...

Which grapple? Landpride vs EA vs MTL for Kubota L3560LE

I too am in the market for a grapple and learning a lot from the replies in this thread. My first tractor was a L2501. I liked it a lot but I also learned more about what was important to me. I'll share - maybe my concerns/issues are not at all applicable to you - but maybe some are. Can't...

Which 3rd Function Kit to buy for Kioti DK6010SE?

I'd recommend the Kioti DK 3rd function kit. I just picked one up for my DK4210SE Cab model and it is the same one that you will need. If you watch that video at the beginning of this thread, you will see how easy it is to install and how integrated it is. Shame on the EA guys for purposely...

Which 3rd Function Kit to buy for Kioti DK6010SE?

The OEM 3rd function kit as shown in the picture referenced has the hoses and protection plate mounted upside down. When installed in the correct orientation, the lines come up and immediately out of the way. In addition, the included protection plate is also upside down and once flipped, will...
