    Del Morino mower finally broke

I've been abusing my Del Morino brush mower for 7 years. It finally decided it had enough. Broken weld and broken drive shaft.

    Interesting modification

I saw this "dump truck" listed for sale on a social media sight. Looks like it might be a BCS tractor?

    Grillo transmission leaking

So my Grillo 107d has started to leak tranny oil. The bottom stud and nut where the engine meets the tranny housing appears to be stripped, it tightens so far and then just keeps turning when I wrench on it. Anyone ever have to replace that stud? Wondering how many cuss words it will take.

Pushing small stumps into the ground

I've been dealing with a thousand and two tiny stumps. They are three inches in diameter maximum. I started a thread about it under the "Rural living" sub forum a while back and got some good advice. As I was beating some of the stumps in to submission with the sledge hammer, I had a brilliant...

    Removing tiny stumps

I have 1,002 tiny stumps I need to remove. The largest would be 2 inches in diameter. Looking for the best way to get rid of them. Thinking about using a chain saw with de-barker on it. Has anyone here tried this?

Log splitter revisited, need input please.

Nearly 2 years ago I posted here looking for assistance with a Brave TMVH-75 pto driven log splitter. Someone had modified it to run off a 3 hp B&S model 14 engine from 1948, using a dedicated hydraulic tank. Forum members TUDOR and Hydronerd gave me excellent advice dissuading me from...

    Grillo 107d forks

So I thought I'd make a set of forks to move some brush. Nothing heavy duty since brush is pretty light, right? Made them out of 80/20 aluminum. Moved one pile just fine. Second pile broke two of the forks. Back to the drawing board. They sure were pretty.

    Fence removal

This past spring we had some trees logged. The loggers ran a bulldozer through and took out some hundred year old hog fence. They wrapped about 200 feet of it around the base of a tree. I need to get it out of there. What's the best tool to use to cut fencing? I don't have a generator, so I'm...

    Wild Grape Vines

I've been in the same house for 30 years. It's about 80 acres in a mostly wooded area, 2nd & 3rd growth timber. Probably 30 acres of it is in a flood plain. I don't own the land but I can do anything I want to it(within reason). This spring, the owners had a lot of walnut trees harvested...

    107d - clutch when stored

I have a Grillo 107d. I'm taking the mowers out of service for the winter and putting a blade for snow on it. Since it will be unused (hopefully) for longer periods, I need to know what position to leave the clutch in. I have conflicting info, one source says to leave the clutch engaged when...

    Still another log splitter project

I was given an old splitter without a trailer. I'd say it weighs about 700 pounds. I want to mount it on a low trailer that will never be road towed. Harbor Freight has a trailer for $189.00 that would work, but I am also seeing Steel Mesh Deck Wagons that are sold (for $80) with the promise of...
