    Poultry litter

Anyone have experience with it? My pastures aren't the best and I have been told that chicken stuff is very high in N. Can get 24 tons delivered for $500.00 but I have to spread. Will a 3 pt. spreader work? I'm thinking a top dresser unit would be best, but I haven't a clue where I could...

    accident

Sunday afternoon was a terrible time. Mistakes happen quite often in this line of work. Sometimes the worst happens. The operator was a young guy with a wife and infant. For reference, it's a 36" bucket.

    Push button stuff

Any of you all have experience using hydraulic fixed leg jacks or landing gear? Straight electric ? Am looking at upgrading the SO's horse trailer and deciding whether to get the bulldog power drive, an Atwood electric or go hydraulic. Trailer is already equipped with batteries, so that part...

    Thieves

Had to turn around last night to go look for my cellphone. Got back to our site and there was a fuel/lube truck on-site. Problem was, he wasn't the company we use. He was pumping fuel out of our equipment . He was apprehended last night. According to the sheriff's guys diesel fuel theft is...

    955 Hyd. cooler line

Had to repair a damaged hyd. cooler line Saturday. Not sure if it's model specific or not. Apparently, the line was rubbing on the oil pan and had worn a hole in itself. Once repaired (gas fluxed), we reinstalled the line with a "rubber hose bushing" and tied it back away from the pan. Big time...

    Messick's

I recently sent this to Messick's and thought I would share my experience with this group. Sir, Recently I needed to purchase some parts for a Ford 1220 mower deck. I originally thought it was a 60” 914A (stamping on deck) and ordered a belt for such. After receiving and attempting to...

    JD 770

My neighbor inherited a late 90's 770 w/70A loader. How in the heck do you get the stupid hood to open. Found what we thought to be the hood latch (L shaped) on the front right side of engine bay, behind light shroud. Pull it out, but can't lift hood from front or rear :( No other latching...

    Hydraulic repair shop

Today, I found an absolutely great repair shop in the Wash. DC area. Hydraulics Unlimited. A machinist friend said I should stop by and try them out. They not only had all of the seals I needed on the shelf, they apologized for not being able to make a brass rod-end bearing until around lunch...
