Anyone ever change out a rear axle seal? How hard was it?

Planing to repaint 20 x 40 pole barn siding. It is chalking and weather worn. I plan to wash it with a TSP cleaner first before painting. So what is the best recommended paint to use for this project? Has anyone repainted their barns siding?

Finally died. Original to my 4110 since new in 2004. It must of been that snake oil battery additive I put in about 10 years ago that keep it going, plus the trickle charger I always have on. It looks like a size 31p will fit, anyone know if that will work?

Has anyone used the 12 volt conversion kits from Genesee Products? I am thinking of converting my Allis CA to 12 volt. The Genesee kit contains a new Alternator, coil, volt meter and wiring harness plus the alternator mounting brackets. All for approx. $230.

Does anyone know what the freeplay on the clutch pedal should be? It has about an inch and one quarter play, is this too much. Sometimes I have trouble getting the forward reverse selector in gear. I may have to call the dealer and have him out and adjust it.

When pushing snow with 4110 loader bucket in float mode, I lose much of my steering with the R4 Ind. tires. Need to steer with brakes, R4 fronts just slide. I'm thinking about a extra set of wheels with R1's to swap out for winter. Would I get better steering traction with Ag. tires up front?
