    No Respect For Others

I have a bright white clam shell drive way, I live about a city block's distance from the road to a county landfill and animal shelter, as well as the FedEx terminal at the rear of the airport. People coming from the north just can't seem to read the big sign at the road, drive by and just can't...

    High Impact Air Pistol

I had a thread about this a couple of years back, but I'm still looking for an air pistol with critter knockdown power, multi shot capability. The reason is I'm in a restricted zone for firearms due to the airport's proximity. At least the woods at the rear of my property are. Plenty of rifles...

Delaware Finally Wakes Up And Opens Hunting For Coyotes

After years of treating as a protected species, and much screaming from farmers and hunters, they opened a 6 month season for coyotes. September 1 through February, and they made it effective immediately, which tells me they realized they had a problem, finally. At least they can have a few...

    Salt Is Great Deer Bait!

We have a heard of bucks waiting for rut that hang behind our property in the woods, every evening they graze the back of our land and county fields. About dark they line up and cross the road to the soybean field where a herd of does feed, they stay separated for now. I expect the males to soon...

1993 AYP Wizard, Similar to GT6000

I bought this Wizard Garden Tractor today, included was a near perfect Craftsman/Brinly-Hardy moldboard, wheel weights installed, tire chains and a 44" deck that works perfectly with a spare blade. I paid $350, I think I did OK! Most people don't know these Wizards are basically GT 6000's with...

    Three Point Lift Cylinder Needed

I need a hydraulic lift cylinder for the 3 pt hitch on my 1855. Mine needs a rod as it was left out to corrode badly by the previous owner. It leaks so badly it's not practical to use. Rough dimensions are 11-12" pin to pin closed, 2" bore, 4-5" travel, has 1/2" x 20 threads on rod or can use...

    New To Me Rifles

I went to visit my late brother's daughter in Chesapeake, VA on Saturday and came home with my moms 60 year old 7 shot Remington .22 bolt action and my brother's Marlin/Glenfield model 80.22. The Remington was an amazingly accurate rifle, and mom at 90 is ready to go shoot it! She literally shot...

Feral Dogs are as bad as cats say biologists.

Here's an example..."Free-roaming dogs can especially cause harm on islands, where ecosystems tend to be vulnerable in the face of non-native predators like dogs. For instance, in the late 1980s, researchers found that a single German shepherd on the loose in New Zealand's Waitangi State Forest...

Finally got around to covering my seat on the 1855

Took it my upholstery shop yesterday and did it while everyone else was working on profitable stuff. Those molded seat covers are a bear to do, lots of heavy duty heat gun and commercial spray adhesive.

Locked Up Again, no apparent reason.

:confused:I promised Boomer updates as they happened, so here is a rundown; Got the float sealed up with a super thin layer of fuel tank sealant and the tractor runs great, after running a while we got the carb adjustments close. I worked it for about 1.5-2 hours today, with a lunch break in the...

    Massey Ferguson 1855 Loader

Bought this rig a couple of weeks ago, lots of ignition and carb issues, mostly fixed and runninmg good now. I still have to go over the hydraulics and adjust some belts, replace muffler, etc... but I'm loving it! Way more versatile than my Johnny bucket/GT5000 was.

    1855 Front End Loader

Just picked it up today, needs some tlc but a very handy size and way more power than I expected out of the 18 hp Onan. Still trying to figure out all the ranges and speeds of the transaxle. The pto and 3 point is going to be handy though. A big step up from the GT 5000 with Johnny bucket!

YM 2000, Looking at a very Clean Front End Loader, bad engine

I found a very clean and nice YM 2000 with 2TR20A engine, that has serious blow by and needs a long squirt of starter fluid to start. Seems fairly common with these. I talked to Hoye and they tell me $350 for refresh parts less pistons. The hydraulics and everything work great, nice seat...

    Wheel Horse c-141?

I'm looking at a 1978 C-141 with a Wheel Horse front end loader, it has ag tires, wheel weights and runs like new. It would replace my Craftsman GT 5000 with a Johnny bucket. I'll be giving up about half the horsepower but I can't get all to the ground anyway. The paint is not great but frankly...

Anyone with first hand experience with an electric Gator? I can buy up to 5 of them ranging from '99-'04 with new batteries and tires as well as power dump, for around $1500 ea. B5200E, thinking of buying it.

It's a very clean tractor, 13 h.p. diesel, 29" turf tires, 3 point, pto front and rear, snow blade, 60" mower. Guy originally was asking $3000, dropped to $2500, then to $2000 and is now saying bring cash offers, it nearly looks new, runs great, but no idea of the value or quality of this...

    Bigfoot in my backyard?

Found this about 75 yds behind my house while taking my cat for his evening stroll. I know the definition is not great, I will try go get a shot with a better camera. When you see it in person there is a definite 5 toes, ball and heal impression and it's bigger than my 9.5 New Balance EEEE

    Clamshell driveway

I'm about to do a clam shell driveway at my new house, there is an old gravel base that's over 60 years old there so it's a firm foundation. I've looked at others and I like the white look and the firm feel for driving and walking on vs the loose feel a lot of gravel drives, including my old one...

    Albino Coyote

I guess the b@stards are officially everywhere now! We've had a few killed on the roads in scattered areas but yesterday the DNR cop near me showed me a 62 lb coy/wolf (pending dna testing but based on size, head shape, etc...) killed about 20 miles from here and he was albino, pure white...

    Air Pistol, accurate and powerful?

Is there really a reasonable weight .22 + - air pistol that has big impact at close range? Would love to have one that would stop a coyote or equivalent at 25 yards and repeat 6-8 shots. PCP seems like the answer but they tend to be bulky. I can't use a firearm where I need this. Too near the...

    Hydraulic pump with electric pto?

Want to install a small FEL on my GT5000/26 hp/ Hydrostatic garden tractor, using the electric pto that engaged the deck to drive it. Any help will be appreciated. I want to do a center frame mount setup, the Johnny Bucket just isn't big enough.

Been playing with my GT5000 freebie!

Just started playing with my GT5000 that I got for free, the thing runs great now that I got the one intake valve unstuck, replaced the pushrod and adjusted the valves. amazing how well it ran on one cylinder! GT5000 Owner, FREE!
