Where to find a used aerator?

I picked up one on craigslist: san francisco bay area classifieds for jobs, apartments, personals, for sale, services, community, and events It's a bluebird and did a pretty good job for me this spring.

New BX23 - bugs or quirks

That works great when taking off the FEL or Backhoe, but it doesn't do anything to relieve the pressure in the lines of the FEL or backhoe once it's off the machine. I'm assuming (yes I know what they say about assuming!) that the problem is hooking the equipment back up. As far as I know...

New BX23 - bugs or quirks

I experience my 23 doing many of the same items you have listed. The coupling issue is as previously stated, pressure has built up in the lines. I use a screw driver to depress the nipples and occationally need to do this a couple times to relieve the pressure. I don't park my loader or...

Quick BX23 ?: Hoe and MMM on at the same time?

I just install my MMM this spring with the backhoe on. Because there is no weight on the MMM mounts you will need to pull them down. They may be stuck from not being used, though they will come down. Set your knob to it lowest cutting height, and pull them down. With the backhoe and loader...

Subj: Have you discovered this about your BX23?

When I first received my BX-23, a similar thing happened. The breaks where not capable of stopping or even slowing the tractor down. It was a very short, though relatively steep sloped lawn. I have found the breaks have gotten slightly better at stopping the tractor and I certainly have...

    Detent on 4 way valve

Mine started doing this around 25 hours. There was another threard regarding this several months ago. I thought the solution was a new valve, though don't quote me on it. I'm interested in hearing what your dealer says. I think I will call my dealer tomorrow and see what they say too. I...

    Detent on 4 way valve

Does the valve stay in the float position or do you need to force the lever and hold it in the forward position to maintain float? Mine will not stay in the float position unless I hold it there.

    Mowing possible belly mower problem

Are you using a mallet for the pto? I believe the original question was: use a plastic mallet to force the bar into position in the fulcrum area. My alignment comment was addressing this issue.

    Mowing possible belly mower problem

That's a good idea. I always use the loader to lift the front end, but never thought of leaving the bh on to raise the rear. As far as the mallet is concern, I still believe if everything is aligned properly by the dealer and you have the MMM center properly during the re-install, it should go...

    Mowing possible belly mower problem

The MMM shouldn't required a mallet to install. Something isn't aligned or adjusted properly. I'd take it back to the dealer and have them set it up again. I'd also question a dealer that tells you that a mallet may be required. Sounds like a dealer that doesn't know what they are doing.

    BX With Another MMM Question

Haven't looked at how it is made, though it must be some type of a cam, for the knob should turn in either direction for an unlimited amount of turns.

    MMM Height on BX1500

Have you removed the rear attachment? I would suggest removing the rear attachement. Then move the MMM to the up position and try rotating the knob to 'top'. Your rear attachment may not be allowing the MMM to raise to the top position. The knob can not be moved unless it is in the upper...

    BX2200 Lubrication

If you are discussing the mid PTO shaft for the MMM, yes, I do remove it to grease it. Since then, I separate the shaft grease them and then grease the...

    brandy new BX23 (questions)

I may be the odd man out, though I always keep my 23 in gear. I have had it roll on me and was unable to stop it with the brakes. I do keep the brakes on to keep it from creeping. Generally, I do get the rear tires off the ground, or at least not under full weight by using the stabilizers...

    BX 23 FEL Float problem

That seems odd. What would cause it to stop working and then start working again. It must not be a spring like detent that I am use to seeing on old cars. I looked at http://www.tractorsmart.com/Books/bx23.htm for the parts list and I didn't recognize any parts that looked like a spring...

Tiller Which 3PT tiller do you prefer?

I'm using a Wood's estate model on my BX23. I used it for the first time yesterday and was pretty pleased with it's performance. If I have any complaints, it would be the weight. I think a heavier tiller would be better. When hitting rock or large roots, the tiller bounces like crazy. I...

    BX23 FEL and BH Removal

I should have started my thread off with "I know nothing 'bout tractors, but..." I hope some others who have owned their tractors longer than 2 months can give us some insite on this. So far, I have been lucky enough to not need the implements on late in the day. The sun does seem to impact...

    BX23 FEL and BH Removal

I know the problem I have with the FEL installation is the result of not having a level surface to work on. When the FEL is on an uneven or sloped surface, the loader will not drop into the mounting brackets correctly and they will bind. I struggled with this again this morning. One side...

    Using a Box Blade

Wouldn't a FEL be better for this? I don't have a box blade, though I use my loader on my BX to clear out/scape the earth. I would also think this would put less stress on the tractor. Now if you don't have the FEL, that's another story.

    Rust on new Kubotas?

I had a couple small areas that contained some surface rust on my BX23. Nothing serious though. My 3 point was still boxed up and wrapped in sealed plastic when I took the tractor. It had a small amount of rust on the connections, though nothing that I worried about. Are you not finding...

    Dealer Dealer Customer service

I just learned a valuable lesson tonight. Got the great idea of moving the tiller from the sloped area the delivery guy left it. Hooked a chain up to the tiller and to the center hook on my loader and started to lift it. Pulled the left rear tire off the ground! I decided that it's...

Speaking of Hydro hoses, could they have made these any shorter???? If you have the hoe on the ground, you nearly need to be ontop of the hoe to get them hooked up. I think the instructions said to be about 12" from the hoe. There hoe must not have been sitting on the ground!
