    Tomato plant life expectancy

I’ve always had outdoor gardens and when the frost and cold weather came, the growing season was over. Now I have a green house, so I’m wondering how long a tomato plant can last if it continues to stay warm and is weather protected. Any experiences?

    Walipini - underground green house

Has anybody built an underground green house? I have the walls completed and will start on the roof in a couple days. Just wondering if anybody has one and if so, did you put insulation on the walls, like polyiso panels? also, has anyone run pex lines in the raised beds to keep the soil warm...

    Platform/cage

I'd like to make a platform/cage to use while building my log home. It will be lifted and moved around with my telehandler, so weight is not an issue. I want to be able to lift people and materials for working on walls and roof, so it must be strong and safe. For the base, I'm thinking a 4X8...

    3 pt quick attach

I have a L3400 and have a box scraper and a post hole digger and I just got a rear blade. I would like a quick attach setup. Will any accommodate the post hole digger or will they only work with the scraper and blade? How about choices? The dealer wants $500 for a Land Pride model. Will others...

    Javelina attack

I was working on our road this morning with the tractor, removing big rocks so my neighbor can grade it with more ease. I didn't hear or see anything, but I soon saw my Rotty limping out of the woods. I saw a little blood and thought maybe cactus, but after I washed her off, I saw two holes in...

    Trailer for telehandler?

I have a telehandler that weighs about 26,000 and needs about 23 feet to be transported. I had it delivered with a big rig but was wondering if I could haul it on a smaller trailer. If so, would be required? It must have ramps. And what would be needed to pull such a setup.

    Trailer awning

I have a 2008 Travel Trailer at the Ranch, about 27 feet long with a slide out. I noticed that the awning is wearing real thin at the top edge, where it is exposed to the elements even when it's rolled up. There are places where you can see right through it, all along the top edge. Is there...

    a jack for spreading??

I used my telehandler to move my 40 foot container and the guy directing me did not tell me that I had the forks tilted too far forward, so I slightly pushed in the door frame for the small door on the side. Now it won't open. I need to put a 2X4 or 4X4 up along the top of the door frame on the...

    Gradall telehandler

Not exactly a tractor, but I just bought a Gradall telehandler 534 9C. The rear wheels make a lot of clunking noise, especially when turning. Any ideas of what is wrong? And can a mobile unit repair it on site?

    foam-filled tires

I just bought a used telehandler and I know a few people that have one and they all have foam-filled tires. What are the pros and cons? And is something you can do yourself? I didn't write down the tire size, but the sucker weighs 26,000 pounds.

    cost of transporting?

I just bought a Gradall telehandler. Now my problem is getting it from the Louisville, KY area to Seligman, AZ. One freight hauler quoted me $3400. Is that reasonable? It's about 20 ft long, 8 ft wide, about 7 ft tall and weighs about 26,000 lbs.

    well drilling time

I just got estimates on drilling a well on my property. All 3 of the drillers have done wells in the general area and all 3 say that most likely I'm going to have to go down 1,000 ft. Whew, that's about 23K. Sakes alive, that's going to be some expensive water.

    problems with being overweight

My dump truck is rated for 27,500 lbs max. What would be the potential problems if it was to be loaded such that the scales said 33,000 lbs? Anyone up on the AZ carry laws? I have ridden occassionally with the Patriot Guard here and I see dozens of guys riding their motorcycles with firearms in holsters. truck tires

I just bought a 1980 Ford F8000 dump truck. The tires are okay, but I'm afraid they won't last too long with 90% of the driving to be on gravel, dirt, and mud.
