Close call baler bearing caught fire

Yep it is a little scary for a minute or two at least until you get the bale kicked out and get your tractor unhooked from the baler as even though I would hate to lose my baler I would hate to lose one of my tractors more. :) I thought it was just the bearing and I would have been able to...

Question on Disc Harrow work. . .

OP, never get rid of a good piece of equipment that's paid for, a nickle's worth of grease along and along is about all it would take maintenance wise and you never know when you might want to do a little side work or help a neighbor out with a garden plot.

Yeah, that's the sensor, curiously on the guy in the video's tractor it blew the 10 amp starter relay fuse , mine was a 20 amp ignition fuse and I believe Brown dog's was as well, anyhow thank's to the internet lot's of people won't have to guess when this happens to them and I believe it is...

JD 5101E Open Station won’t light up dash or spin over.

Yeah, I was just saying that's the part that fixed mine and I was pretty sure it was called a coolant sensor, but I am pretty sure there could be a number of sensors that will blow that 20 amp ignition fuse. Am I right in my thinking?
  22. L

JD 5101E Open Station won’t light up dash or spin over.

Need older tractor recommendations for round baling.

We had a neighbor that I worked for some during the summer in tobacco and he had Ford tractors, open station 7600 and 7700 he rarely did maintenance on them and he didn't know what a grease gun was but those 2 tractors were tough and suprisingly pretty easy on fuel.

Long story short a pre-emissions machine you can idle around all day with no issues, newer tier 4 tractors need to be ran at high rpm's pretty much little or no idling more than a few minutes or it builds up soot that needs to be burned off or re-gen which the tractor is supposed to do...
